A month later...

For the month after their breakup, Billie and Jordyn seeing each other in classes and in the hallways could not feel lonelier.

If one of them was lucky, they'd get a small, sad smile from the other, but it wasn't often.

Jordyn focused on school and preparing for college while Billie let herself go.

She stopped smiling completely, stopped taking care of herself, stopped talking to most people. She was broken without Jordyn.

Her mental health declined quite a lot and she could feel herself falling apart.

But her music helped.

She started writing more and more songs and could get her feelings out.

But Jordyn had no idea how Billie felt. If she did, she'd feel so guilty and that's the last thing Billie wanted her to feel. It was her fault that she ended up like this, anyways.

Some good news is that they all finally graduated. Billie and Jordyn were so excited about graduating together, but instead, they just cheered for each other walking the stage in silence.

Billie thought it didn't seem like Jordyn was hurt due to her being happy, laughing with her friends at graduation, but what she didn't know was that Jordyn was hiding her feelings deep down because she still couldn't fathom the fact that it was over.

Though she ended things, it still hurt.

Jordyn cried a lot over Billie after they broke up. She felt more alone than ever. Not even her dad knew.

She also apologized to Normani and they're good again. The trio is still going strong.

They don't bring up Billie anymore though. Vicky and Normani know it stills stings.

It's not like it fixes anything though. Jordyn still always thinks about Billie whether she likes it or not.

She thinks of what could've been, if things could've changed.

Billie still wishes she changed in time, but she's trying her best to now.

Even if she couldn't change for Jordyn, she still wants to be better.

This was the first step.

She needed to grow on her own and that's what she's trying to do.

Billie writes notes to Jordyn often. She never gives them to her though. She got into therapy and her therapist said it's a good coping strategy.

i hope you'd be proud to know im trying to do better. i hate myself for letting you go. im trying my best right now. i hope one day you'll give me another chance.

i know you won't, but its nice to imagine.

i had a dream the night you broke up with me. you came back over and you said you regretted it and we fixed things. i got better and everything was perfect. i was devastated to see it was a dream.

today was graduation. i wanted to cheer for you but i know that's not my place anymore. i did in my head though. i'm so proud of you. i wish i could've been there to give you a hug and kiss you after you walked the stage, but i know i couldn't. i hope all your dreams come true, jord. i still love you.

Billie wished she could give them to her, but she knows they can't talk like normal anymore.

Hell, it had only been a month, but it felt like a year apart.

They both still wanted each other so badly, but they knew it was best to stay this way.

At least until Billie could change herself.

She knew she wasn't ready yet though.

It hurt to think about, but Billie wished Jordyn would fall in love with a girl who treated her like the amazing girl she is. She hoped that girl would give her everything Billie never could.

It killed her to imagine her with someone else. She knew in time that it would probably happen.

Jordyn didn't want anyone else though. Her heart was still yearning for Billie.

The thought of Billie being in love with someone else made her sick.

Jordyn also thought it would happen in time.

Little did they know, the only person on each their minds were each other.

Who knows how long it'll stay like that.
