I woke up already dreading this day.

It's my second day at this new school and I'm not looking forward to it.

Thankfully, I got Vicky and Normani's numbers, so the three of us have a group chat now. We all texted last night and got pretty close, to be honest.

In real life

Maybe today won't be so bad.

Once I finish my cereal, I quickly wash my bowl before getting my shoes on. "Dad, I'm gonna head out!" I shout upstairs to my dad.

No answer.

Right, he had a late shift.

I'm used to it since I know his schedule is kind of crazy sometimes.

I shrug and grab my keys before heading out to my car. I have my own car, but my dad just wanted to drop me off for my first day, I guess.

Once I get to school, I park my car and walk up to the front door where I see Vicky and Normani waiting for me. "Hi!" Vicky smiles. "Hey, guys." I say to the both of them.

The three of us walk inside and go our separate ways to our lockers before meeting back up. "I have morning detention, so I won't be in class for a little bit today, but I'll see you at lunch." Vicky tells me. "Oh, alright." I nod.

"Sorry, but I have a different class today, so you're on your own." Normani chuckles. "It's alright, I'll see you both later." I smile before walking away.
