Her brown hair, the way her blue eyes sparkled, and how bright her smile was, had captivated me.
The way her nose would scrunch up every time she laughs.
I couldn't help but watch her.
The way she was so effortlessly flawless made me hate her.
Yet I was obsessed with her at the same time.

"You're so funny, bro." I tell Normani as I finish laughing. "I know." She flips her hair dramatically, making me giggle.
"What about me?" Vicky asks, pretending to be offended. "You're funny too, Vick." I smile at her. "Guys, we should have a sleepover this weekend. I'm free if y'all are." Normani suggests. "I'm free." I nod.
"So am I." Vicky says. "Alright, so Saturday?" Normani asks.Vicky and I both agree and we settle on having the sleepover at Normani's house.
"Okay, everyone, please study because we have a project due on this book coming up soon." Mrs. Sweeney, my English teacher, announces to the class.
Everyone lets out a groan and she laughs. "It's not bad, I promise. It's going to be a partner project, and no, you can't pick your partners." She adds, making everyone groan more.
"Great." I roll my eyes. "Mrs. Sweeney's projects are usually pretty good, don't worry." Vicky whispers to me. "Okay." I whisper back.
The bell rings and everyone gets up to go to their next class. Normani and Vicky aren't in this one, but it's okay. I've honestly gotten used to school days.
"I'll see you guys at lunch." I say to my friends, waving to them. They smile and the three of us go our separate ways.
My next class is chemistry which is usually fine, except Billie's in my class.
Sadly.
I walk into class and sit down at one of the lab tables, putting my bag in the chair next to me so hopefully no one sits next to me.
My teacher, Mr. Pratt comes in and sits down at his desk to start organizing what I think are his lesson plans.
"Move."
I look up and see Billie, standing next to the chair with my bag in it. "What?" I ask.
"I said move." She repeats. "Why? There's plenty of other s-"
She cuts by off by throwing my backpack at me and she sits next to me. "What the fuck is your problem?" I say.
"You're new here, this is my seat." She grumbles.
"Billie, we don't have assigned seats." A boy next to her says.
"Shut the fuck up, Wyatt." She snaps at him.
The boy looks down at his notebook and I do the same, hoping to avoid any eye contact with Billie at all.
"Jayden, give me a pencil." She says to me. "It's Jordyn." I correct her. "I didn't fucking ask. Pencil." She orders, holding out her hand.
