2 year later, 2022.

"Vicky, would you turn up the god damn AC? It's hot as balls in this car."

"It's already on full blast! What else do you want me to do?" Vicky groans at Normani. "All y'all do is fight, honest to god." I sigh.

"It's just how we are." Vicky shrugs. "Yeah, I'm aware." I laugh. "Jord, turn on the radio! I wanna see what's on." Normani says.

I do so, not seeing whatever is on since I'm scrolling on Instagram.

"And I'll be in denial for at least a little while. What about the plans we made?"

I hear that familiar voice and perk my head up. Vicky quickly shuts it off, making me roll my eyes. "Guys, it's been two years. I don't care anymore." I tell them.

"I know, I just feel bad. I don't want you to have to listen to it." She shrugs. "It's fine. I'm proud of her for doing good with her music. She's gotten so far. I know I'm not there to see it first hand, but I'm still happy for her regardless." I say, smiling a little.

"I could never be that mature, I don't know how you do it." Normani giggles. "Shut up. You and Jaxson have been dating almost two years and I haven't dated a single person since Billie." I roll my eyes at her.

"What? I still have exes!" She puts her hands up in defense. "You're technically one of them." Normani winks. "You're so weird." I chuckle. "Go think about your little boyfriend."

"You don't gotta tell me twice." Normani shrugs and looks out the window.

"Ew." Vicky grimaces. "Literally what I'm saying." I laugh softly. "You excited for tonight?" She asks me, switching the topic.

"I guess." I shrug my shoulders.

Right now, I'm in my sophomore year of college at UCLA. Vick and Mani go to school with me as well, so we're all super close still. Normani and her boyfriend, Jaxson have a place together, meanwhile me and Vicky are currently roommates.

Neither of us wanted a dorm, so we have an apartment together. It's pretty nice.

Billie started releasing her music and she's gotten super popular. I've gotten over the breakup by now, so it doesn't hurt to hear her voice on the radio.

I actually love it.

I've always been so proud of her and her music.

I've never seen her again since graduation though. I'm not sure if I want to.

But I think I'm 100% over it all.

Anyways, the three of us just got lunch, and now we're going back to me and Vick's place. We're going to a big party tonight and I'm nervous as hell. One of the kids from my school said celebrities are gonna be there apparently.

I doubt it though.

"Do these shorts make my ass look big?"

"Can you ask normal questions for once?" I ask Vicky as I sigh. "You're my best friends! You guys are supposed to tell me the truth!" She huffs.
