Katrina looked pissed when they pulled the black hoods off her and Hattie's heads. It was dark, even now that they could see. Then her eyes landed on the person who spoke.

"How'd you find them?" Brixton asked, his eyes lingering on Katrina.

"You've heard about me. I'm good at my job," Margarita answered.

"You're a bitch is what you are," Katrina spat, playing the part of the betrayed friend.

"Were they alone?" he asked, shifting his eyes from Katrina.

"Yes."

Brixton met her eyes. "If you're lying to me, I will cut your heart out. do you understand?"

Margarita smirked. "I'd be afraid if I had one."

He then moved over to Katrina, towering over the girl. "Where's Deckard?"

Katrina didn't shy away. "Having a pissing contest with Hobbs."

Brixton grabbed her wrist as he inspected her hand which he noted was missing its rings. He smiled. "His loss."

They were escorted into a chopper which flew them to the lab. Then they were escorted into an off-road vehicle with no roof or windows as two guards hung on the black beams. Brixton was driving as Katrina was in the middle and Hattie on the end. Let's just say they'd had a very large escort following them.

"So, I'm intrigued," Hattie began as they rolled into the research lab, abundant with people in white overalls and guards in black. "Do you wash the blood off your hands before you count your money or is it afterwards?"

Brixton only gave her a look as he continued driving. Katrina was trying to focus on her breathing to keep herself calm. She may have known this man once, but he was very far from the person she knew. Not to mention the fact that being away from Deckard inside enemy territory made her anxious. Actually, she'd never felt this anxious before and the rolling feeling inside her stomach had never felt like this. Still, she pushed it down as the vehicle came to a stop. She couldn't afford to be nervous right now.

The girls were still cuffed as they followed behind Brixton, at least eight guards following behind them.

"Dismissed," he called to his guards as they turned and walked away.

"You don't get it do you?" Brixton asked darkly as he grabbed Hattie by the arm, Katrina knowing better than to move. "You know, the weak deal with money. We deal with evolutionary change. Change that sometimes requires acts of violence."

"Like killing innocent people with viruses?" Hattie fired back. Unlike Katrina, Hattie could say what she liked. Brixton wouldn't even think to hurt his precious virus. Katrina... Katrina was expendable.

"Only the weak ones. We're dealing with the future of the planet. Things that money cannot buy."

"Oh, like your soul back?"

"My soul?" Brixton laughed. "Your brother took my soul. The boys in the lab made me a new one. Now that is progress.," he said to Hattie before he turned to grab Katrina's arm. "And that is what I'm going to do to him, take his soul by changing you."

They walked for a time before entering a small concealed chamber within the massive warehouse.

"Welcome to the extraction room Miss Shaw," Brixton said as he sat Hattie down on a metal slab, Andreiko, the scientist, typing at a computer next to it.

"And for you, Miss Michaels, the preparation room," he continued as he guided her to sit down on a metal slab parallel to Hattie's.

"It's Shaw," she snapped as he undid her cuffs.
