*Evie's P.O.V*
Auntie Donna did seem to be taking the lead on my most favoritest person right now. I mean she was super quiet, like super duper quiet. I had to use my super hearing to hear her. It was almost like she was afraid of her own voice. That would be silly though, seeing as her voice was very nice and pretty.
The only thing I didn't like about her was Angie. But sometimes people came with baggage and I was willing to accept the fact that Angie was her baggage. Her very annoying, kind of scary baggage. I could accept that from her, I suppose.
Mommy gently runs her fingers through my hair, humming softly as I cuddle into her. She seems to be trying to multitask while cuddling me, talking with Auntie Donna, and also working on the papers in front of her.
"Mommy, how?" I ask, making Mommy tilt her head as she looks at me. Mommy furrows her brows, raising an eyebrow when I pout at her for not understanding me! How dare she do that, it was so obvious what I wanted to know.
"Use your words Evie," Mommy tsks as she rubs my back, making me furrow my brows as I cross my arms over my chest. I was certainly not going to be using my words, that was stupid and for losers.
I push my face into her chest, sighing sadly. I sigh again when Mommy doesn't give me the reaction I want which is an apology for her being such a meanie head! She knew I didn't need to use my words, she was practically a mind reader when it came to me getting into trouble! But of course now she wanted to act like she couldn't tell what I wanted.
"Evie, use your words," Mommy says as she tickles my sides lightly, making me squirm as I try to push her hands away and fight the giggles that escape me. I swat her hands away, pressing my lips together to try and hide the giggles that threaten to keep escaping me.
"Mommy! Stop it," I finally managed to get words out, swatting her hands away. Mommy smiles softly, her finger gently rubbing across my face. I cuddle into her, her nails gently scratching across my face. I shiver, smiling as I grab her hands and inspect her nails.
"Sharp," I whisper, a small smile on my lips as I hold onto her fingers, making them flex slightly. I grin as I kiss her fingers.
"Make them sharp," I beg of Mommy, looking at her with hopeful eyes. She sighs, closing her eyes for a moment before she moves her hand away from me. Her nails rapidly grow, expanding and sharpening. I clap my hands, bouncing in her lap with a small smile on my lips.
"Clawssss! So sharp!" I say as I reach for them. Mommy uses her hand with the unsharp nails to grab my hand, pushing it down before I even get the chance to try and touch the sharp nails.
"You are not to touch my nails when they are like this Evie, you could hurt yourself and I would hate for that to happen," Mommy says, making me wrinkle my nose up at her words. I huff softly, rolling my eyes at her words. That was so not true! I could never ever get hurt! I was invincible!
"I not get hurt Mommy, you wrong and stupid for saying that," I say, shrinking back when Mommy raises an eyebrow.
"Would you care to repeat yourself?" Mommy asks, her voice quiet and soft in a scary way. I duck my head, shaking it after a moment as I look down at my lap. It seemed like a bad idea to repeat what I had just said, especially with how low Mommy's voice had gotten.
"Ha ha! The baby's in trouble!" Angie mocks me, making me pout slightly as I huff softly. I bury my face into Mommy's chest as I sniffle softly, upset that Angie was being mean.
"Angie, enough," Auntie Donna says. I hear the sound of the door opening and closing before I peek out from Mommy to see. I see that Auntie Donna is still in here but Angie is gone now.
"See? You're fine," Mommy says as she cups my face, her thumb stroking my cheek as she hums softly. I nuzzle into her, still pouting slightly as I keep my face pressed into her chest.
"Now what were you trying to say earlier?" Mommy ask, making my nose crinkle up slightly.
"How you do lots of stuff at once?" I ask as I tilt my head, looking her in the eyes. Her golden eyes are so pretty, I want eyes like hers! She needed to give me eyes like that.
"I'm very good at doing it because I'm used to having little girls who need my attention," Mommy says, sighing when I squirm to get down. I abandon her, going over to Auntie Donna since she no longer had that creepy doll in her lap anymore.
"I answer your question and you immediately abandon me," Mommy shakes her head with an exasperated sigh escaping her.
"Auntie Donna," I say as I hold out my arms, smiling when she hesitantly picks me up. I cuddle into Auntie Donna, smiling when her thumb strokes my cheek as I tilt my head back.
"I like you," I coo, curling into her as she starts to rub my back. I nuzzle into Auntie Donna, earning an amused sound from Mommy.
"I like you too little Evie," Auntie Donna says as she continues to rub my back. I giggle slightly as I curl into her, my eyes closing as I feel her continue to rub my back. Oh she was so comfortable. I sigh happily, my eyes closed to the point I think I'm going to fall asleep at any point. Maybe I did like having an Auntie after all.
