Chapter 32

The night has shed its cloak, torn by the journeying sun from the east while the purple sky warmly welcomed its' golden rays. Some fogs covered the mounds and the dew drops dangling on the roofs, painting a striking feature of a winter morning.

Under that first light, a human figure was seen flying through the roofs and went down between the flowing curtains of the balcony in Thuriya's house.

He grabbed onto the wall as soon as he stepped foot on the floor and slowly moved to the bed.

His face was pale with eyes covered in red streaks , and he sat down, placing his face in his palms.

"Why did I not know this...", he murmured.

He shook his head in grief.

"How do i..."

Thuriya let out a deep sigh, his heart ached in torment for that he now found out the truth about Rose's life.

"Nothing I do could ever repay you for what you did Rosie..", he uttered.

He laid back on the bed looking up on the ceiling. His eyes narrowed down finally closing to whisper a name from his mouth.

"Rosie...."

"Thuriya....Thuriya come on man....wake up"

Sai Lun forcibly shook his arms, instantly waking up Thuriya from his nap.

"Uhh...what..", Mustering up all his strengths, he pushed himself out of the bed, his eyes still puffy and red with dark circles beneath. 

"What happened to your eyes..", asked Sai Lun.

"Huhhhh...". Thuriya sighed.

"What did you want Sai.."

"I need you to come with me Thuriya...I need you to come right now". Sai Lun walked to and from beside the bed, his steps staggered in agitation. 

"What...why?"

Thuriya frowned looking at him.

"Sai...what's going on.."

Sai Lun looked back at him with anxious eyes.

"I....I think Vi's been taken.."

"Taken...?" Thuriya sat up on his bed.

"What do you mean taken ...?Isn't Vi..."

"Withered yes...". Sai replied in haste.

"But you know how her species absorb a great amount of energy from us as we create them right?"

"They may have withered and no longer stay in the maiden state but...some of our powers remain in the fruit itself, maintaining them to sprout again after many years...so that..."

"So that...they could multiply...Yes I know that...so what?". Thuriya replied in confusion.

Sai Lun stopped his paces, standing face to face with him.

"Thuriya...I didn't tell you this before..because I thought I was just being paranoid..But..I think this just proved it"

"Proved what!? man just get to the point"

Thuriya yelled standing up.

"Someone's been stalking us....knowing what we really are and...I think that might be a hunter"

'Hunter'

That noun echoed in Thuriya's head making he take a step back. The visions of Rose burning, flashed before his eyes. He gasped some air before actually replying to Sai.
