"Hello...SuSu....yes I'm ready...yes I'm waiting for you ", Daw Nwe hung up the phone smiling.

It's been so long that since she last hung out with her friend and today, they're planning a small outing to the market. The new fabric shop sounded like a worthy place to visit as per Daw Su Su's recommendations. Tingling energy to shop, rising in Daw Nwe's body with each minute waiting for her friend.

"I should buy something  for myself and my girls as well...to wear at the festival" said Daw Nwe to her husband.

"What about me..?", teased U Toe Hla.

"What? do you want some lace as well husband?" Daw Nwe teased back, giving a side eye to her husband.

Before he could say anything back, they both heard a honk in front of the house, while Daw Nwe picked up her bags in excitement.

"Okay..that's SuSu, I'll be home late so....don't wait up. There's food in the fridge but you have to....."

"Warm them up before I eat it.... I get it...just go..", her husband insisted returning his eyes back to the book he's reading and Daw Nwe smiled beamingly to his response.

"Okay okay..bye bye now.."

She waved at her husband hopping on to Daw Su Su's motor bike.

"Okay...where shall we go first..?"

"The market of course....". Daw Su Su said driving off.

They spent hours walking around the bazaar, pressing through colorful vendors and crowd. The mid day sun shining through the clouds, marking a beautiful day. Daw Nwe and Daw SuSu stopped often at every snack shop on the way, the scent of baked goods and coconuts diverting their primary goal. They only managed to finally reach the fabric shop after 2 hours,  only to spend more time finding the perfect laces for the festival.

"Okay...I'm taking these three", said Daw Nwe holding up three sets of lace for her and her daughters.

As they left the market taking a turn around the lake, they saw a familiar figure waving at them.

"Hello....ladies..."

It was U Lone.

They saw his bags full of groceries when they parked their motor bike near him.

"I see you ladies did some shopping for yourselves.." he smiled.

"Yes we did.."

"Say..Daw Nwe...the head monk wants to speak with you regarding with the budget plan for the festival..."

"Oh of course...I was just telling my husband that we should be paying a visit these days.."

"Yes....luckily we gained more donors...so now, we can expand our budget schemes"

"Really? how much are we speaking?"

"around 500 lakhs more or less.."

"That is a lot!" Daw Su Su exclaimed, her eyes sparkled at the sound of huge money.

"Yes indeed.." U Lone turned to her smiling.

"So...ummm, it's still early so, would you ladies care to come along to the monastery..?"

Daw Nwe looked at her watch and it showed 3 pm.

"It is still early....Su Su do you have time?"

Daw Su looked down the watch pressing her lips.

"Oh....I'm sorry my friend...I have an appointment at 3:30. We wouldn't make it back in time would we?"

Daw Nwe seemed disappointed from her friend's answer because she really wanted to visit the head monk.
