“This is delicious, my dear!”

“What dish is this? I think this is the first time I've tasted it. Is this your own recipe? If it is, then you really are an amazing cook, just like your brother bragged about.”

“Not only are you beautiful, but you're also a great cook.”

“I want to marry someone like you, who has an innocent gorgeous face, a sweet voice and smile, and can also cook.”

“How about I marry my son to your daughter, Count Frederick?”

Napahawak ako sa ulo kong sumasakit. Bigla na naman kasing pumasok sa isip ko ang magulong agahan na nangyari kanina lamang. Ang OA lang nila kasi adobo lang naman ang niluto ko.

Well, it wasn't a literal chaos with objects being thrown and people fighting. It was more of a mental and emotional chaos that I experienced.

My sweet smile almost faded earlier and was almost replaced by a frown, but luckily I'm good at acting when I'm in front of important people.

I can handle compliments, even excessive ones. My ears even love hearing them. Ang kaso lang ay dumating sila sa usapan ng kasalan.

There were even princesses who clearly forced themselves to give me compliments because they noticed that the King and Queen seemed to like me for reasons I couldn't fathom.

What is there to like about me? My beautiful face? Sweet smile and voice, as one of the princes mentioned earlier? Ano ba talagang nagustuhan ng mag-asawang iyon sa akin?

Para lang mabago ko. I don't want them to like me! Look at what happened earlier.

The topic of marriage came up because of the King. If it weren't embarrassing, I would have probably stuffed the table napkin that was resting on my lap into the King's mouth earlier.

As if I want to marry someone who is the child of a King. Well, it's possible, I suppose. But of course, I want to marry someone I know I truly want to marry, not in a marriage arranged for me.

Fortunately, my parents handled the situation well. Even my brother chimed in, expressing their gratitude for the offer but stating that they needed to decline.

I even saw the royalty's surprise at my family's refusal. For everyone, it's an honor to have your child chosen to marry a member of royalty, especially if they are the child of a King.

They asked me if I agreed with my parents' decision, to which I quickly nodded. I said I was too young to think about marriage. I prefer to focus on expanding my knowledge rather than dwell on such matters.

Feeling ko nga mas lalong hindi ako titigilan ng Hari dahil nakita niyang kakaiba ako kesa sa ibang babae. Hindi ba ganoon naman talaga ang nangyayari sa mga libro?

I shifted my gaze to the outside balcony when I heard the clashing of swords. I had just finished bathing and getting dressed. We won't be traveling back home until later this afternoon, kaya naman ay nandito ako sa silid na nilaan para sa akin at nagkukulong.

I set aside the book I was reading and stepped out onto the balcony. The peaceful and expansive garden from earlier was now filled with people wearing armor and carrying swords.

Some of them were already engaged in duels, while others were on the sidelines, seemingly sharpening their swords.

“I’m sorry, did we disturb your rest, Lady Naseria?”
