Surprise! I'm back!

Wait before you get your pitchforks! Let me tell you something! Let me tell you something! I can explain....well I actually can't but don't unalive me, please.

I've seen you guys messages. My apologies if it seemed like I was ignoring you. I've been working on this forever.

The fact that the last time I updated was before finals and preseason is already starting is shameful. Tsk tsk. Shame on me.

Anywho please enjoy the chapter darlings! It's a little something to get us back up and running.

Naomi's POV

"Mommy." Chayse tapped my leg. "Daddy won't let me go outside and play."

I moved some stuff around in the deep freezer to see what we're having for dinner. "Why?" I asked and he didn't respond so I looked at him. "Why?"

"I don't know." He shrugged.

"You don't know? Do you want me to ask?" He shook his head. "Well there's not much I can do. There must be a reason and I need to ask."

"Please mommy?"

"I'll just take some chicken out." I mumbled to myself and pulled it out before closing the freezer back.

"Mama." He tapped me again.

"Yes Chayse?"

"Can I go outside?"

He sounded like he was getting annoyed with me but so was I. I'm trying to make sure he has a good dinner and he's harassing me about playing outside.

"Jayson." I called out when I went inside.

"Yeah?"

I followed his voice and went to the living room with my son hot on my tail. "Why can't Chayse go outside?"

"I don't know. Why can't you go outside Chayse?" He leaned up to look at our son who was trying to hide behind me.

"Ok y'all can figure this out. There's clearly a reason and neither of you are talking. You two are the same person." I walked away to let them hash that out.

It's been a month since our accident and we are recovering. Our concussions are gone but my ribs are still healing and I'm still in a brace for my arm. So, not completely back to 100 percent but I'm getting there.

"Hey Mimi." I looked over at Deuce who was walking towards me in the kitchen. "Can I have a sleepover for my birthday?"

"Did you ask your dad?"

"No."

"Ask me what?" Jay came in and put a dish in the sink. I looked at him with the most annoyed face. "I'll get it in a second."

"Why wait? There's nothing in the dishwasher. I just emptied it."

His lips looked like they were about to piss me off but luckily he stopped himself then placed his dish where it belonged.

"Come on Deuce. Let's talk out here." They left the kitchen and it left me by myself.

I took a deep breath and leaned against the counter. My face fell into my hand as I had a moment. Being that I'm still recovering from the accident, it's been taking a toll on me.

I'm in pain from my injuries, I'm not sleeping well because I've started having nightmares of the crash, so I'm always tired. On top of that, someone in this house always needs something.

And I don't blame them. We have kids for crying out loud and I have a husband. It's expected, I'm just overwhelmed.

I decided to go upstairs to take a breather. I just need a few minutes to myself then I can come back down. Of course as I'm heading there, I'm stopped by Camari.
