Hey guys! I'm back with another chapter. It's not as long as I would have l liked so forgive me.
Big elephant in the room. What the heck do you mean Jayson actually has an ankle injury?! I wrote fiction! Something told me I should've knocked on wood. Man. I know he has a long road to recovery, but I believe he'll come back even better.
I hope you all enjoy this chapter.
Naomi's POV
"That's what the fuck I'm talking about!" I yelled as Jayson made a three to cut the Laker's lead to five.
It's game five of the finals and this could be our championship game. We're back at home and it's so electric in here.
Chayse is between Deuce and Camari, and he is locked in on this game. Jayson came back just in time for the finals and has been playing very well.
"Go daddy!" Ayse jumped up when Jayson made a block. "We're going to win mommy. I'm going to tell all my friends about my daddy winning." He looked at me with excitement in his eyes.
Joie is down here with us too and sporting her very cute headphones to help with the noise in here. Surprisingly she's not sleeping and actively taking in everything around her. Boy what I would give to experience the world in her little eyes.
Journey is not interested at all. She'll glance up from time to time but she's mainly focused on her tablet and snack. Camari is sleepy. His head comfortable on my arm. He's watching the game but it's been watching him for part of it.
Halftime is starting soon so I checked in with the kids. "Does anyone need to potty?" I like to beat the rush of people.
"Mama I'm hungry. I want chicken tenders." Journey said and sat up to look at me.
"Ok we can get you some food. What about you boys? Bathroom? Hungry?"
"Camari needs an energy drink." Deuce laughed and Cam reached back to smack him since my arm was around him as he rested on me.
"Hey you hit me." Chayse said and smacked him.
Camari turned around quick looking like Lawrence Fishburne in What's Love Got To Do With It. He raised his hand to hit his brother again.
"Aht. You two stop it. Say sorry Cam. You hit him first."
"Sorry." He mumbled then yawned.
"Yeah we'll get you something to eat. Maybe that'll wake you up. I told you to get off that switch and take your nap but you didn't listen. You'll listen to mom one day."
We all got up to go to the lounge. Once everyone used the bathroom, Miss Brandy and I made the kids food. When they were settled I left to change Joie.
"Now you're all clean and ready to eat." I kissed my baby and nuzzled my nose in her neck as we walked out of the family bathroom.
"Naomi?" I heard and looked up, slowing my walk.
"Wyatt." I said, trailing the end of his name a little.
"How are you?" He smiled and gave me a side hug but my arms didn't reciprocate since I'm holding Joie with both hands. Thank God for Joie.
"I'm good. How about yourself?"
"Good, good. Can't complain." I nodded at his response. Why does this feel so awkward? "Who's this little one?" He bent down to look at Joie at eye level.
"This is Joie." My baby is just smiling away. She's such a happy baby.
"Oo a pretty name for a pretty girl." He smiled at her then stood up straight. "Is she yours? That's probably a silly question considering you two are literal twins." He chuckled.
