It had been a week after the whole library incident and Violet hasn't seen Luke again, sadly, and she was back at her daily routine; being sad and angry at the world almost.
She wasn't angry at the world, she was just sad that it had let her down and it made her feel disappointed in herself because she couldn't do what everyone was supposed to - be happy.
She went to school in her normal black clothes, being a thin sweater, a black skirt, tights, and Balenciaga's. All black. She put her vibrant hair in a slightly messy bun and slipped on her - yep, black - backpack on her back.
Her parents didn't exactly approve of her back pack but she didn't care - it just said 'Fuck off' in English and Japanese.
Or Chinese, she couldn't figure it out.
She didn't pay them any attention, she kept on her way to school, this time she did have music fill her ears - Ed Sheeran's 'Give Me Love' was ejected from her Apple product earphones.
When she finally stepped through the school gates, she carefully removed them from her ears and placed them in her pocket before making her way to locker 105.
24-20-30 she reminded herself, before finally entering the code and taking out her essentials for English - she never did manage to find the right poem, but she was thankful that it actually wasn't due for another couple weeks.
Thank you Miss Brown.
"Well, fuck you too."
The sudden voice made her jump almost a foot in the air, causing her to accidently slam her locker shut and drop her books.
Stupid anxiety.
She looked down at them embarrassedly before facing towards the voice, to her surprise, it was a boy with bright red hair and a smirk.
"Jumpy one, aren't ye'?" He said sarcastically, raising his eyebrows - his right one appeared to be pierced.
Violet didn't know why, but she suddenly felt a little intimidated by the boy she didn't recognize, he was tall - very tall, almost like that Luke boy from the library.
In fact, he sounded like Luke too.
Violet furrowed her eyebrows up at him questioningly, looking him up and down briefly, black skinny jeans and a Metallica shirt. He also wore a Snapback.
What is with the Snapbacks?
"M'name is Michael." He sing - songed, dragging the 'i' out in 'Michael' drastically.
Well, Violet internally scoffed, with the way he pronounced it - it sounded like he was saying Moikol.
Violet sighed at the boy before going to grab her stickynote pad in the waistband of her skirt, showing him the first page she had there to always show.
'My name is Vio-'
"Michael!"
God, another one who pronounces it Moikol.
Michael turned his head away from Violet and faced towards the voice, Violet did too. She found that the one who called him was the boy who sits next to her in Health, Math and Science class.
His name's Calvin, right? The Asian one?
But she noticed that there was another boy there too, and she couldn't help but gape at how tall they all were, she never noticed Calvin's height because he was always sitting down - but she didn't recognize the curly haired boy.
"Calum!" Michael grinned at the Asian one.
Oh, Calum.
"Yo, Mike leave her alone." Calum scolded the red haired boy, shoving him away from me playfully.
The curly haired boy watched in amusement at the two before chuckling - or even giggling.
Violet noticed now, for the first time, that Calum sounded like Luke and Michael too - it was weird because the most she got in Toronto was really either Asian people or South American and Mexican people, but oh well. Calum must be half Asian at least.
"I'm sorry Violet, I'll keep him away from you." Calum smiled at her nicely, backing away.
"I like your backpack!" Michael called out before finally following the curly haired one away.
I waved my hand in dismissal at Calum and he chuckled before running up to the other two -
Crazy ass children.

Violet was just minding her own buisness in Geography if you asked her, she was only completing her map and names of stuff she wasn't sure what they were.
The curly haired boy that was with the two other boys earlier was sat at her side, it almost annoyed her honestly - everyone seemed to want to sit next to her.
She wasn't exciting, she wasn't gonna pass you notes, she wasn't gonna giggle at whatever you were gonna say, she wasn't gonna have whispered conversations with you until the teacher would yell at them - she just wasn't like everyone else.
But maybe that's why some people like sitting next to her, she wasn't distracting, she didn't bother you - she was preserved and quiet, no one cared.
But feeling people basically breathe on her arm bothered her.
"Miss Darling, mind I see your work?" Mister Benson said, she nodded, standing up and handing it to him.
He quickly looked down at it and smiled, shaking his head proudly.
"Amazing, Darling." He smiled. "Do you mind giving these to the main office?"
He handed her a pair of keys and she nodded, smiling kindly and going down to the office.
She knocked on the door of it and heard a 'Come in!' And she stepped inside, being greeted by a welcoming smile from Madame Margoux, her French teacher.
Violet showed her the keys and layed them on the desk carefully, earning a 'Thank you' from her.
"Oh! Violet, we have a new student. He'll be in most of your classes and I think you'd like to be introduced." She smiled kindly, every word being pronounced with a french accent.
Violet hesitated, she didn't really want any friends or anyone thinking she was going to change for them - but she shrugged anyways.
And she was surprised to see who it was to stand up at her calling.
"This is Luke, Luke Hemmings. He just transferred here from Australia!"
