"Well, well, well." Chris scoffed. "Look who's back."

Calum smirked and strided up to his old friend, giving him a friendly bro hug and chuckling. "Told you, didn't I? I'll always be back."

"Mhm, sure." Chris mumbled - blowing out a puff of smoke from the joint he was smoking and then holding it out to Calum. "Want some? Yanno, 'out of prison' celebration."

"Nah, mate. I ain't into that anymore." Calum grumbled - taking a glance down the alleyway that the two were in.

Calum was able to rent an apartment in the same are as before with the money his parents sent him - because even they thought he was innocent and were the first to reward their son in 'surviving such a scary experience '.

Calum only laughed to himself but took it anyways, laying low for a few weeks to make sure he wasn't gonna see any of his old 'friends' for sure. That's how he's ended up here, meeting up with his old drug dealer Chris, in the filthy alleyway that Chris sells in. Him living in the basement downstairs from the strip club in the alleyway, apparently he ran away from his parents five years ago.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa." Chris gaped. "You're not 'into that ' no more?"

Calum sighed. "No. I want a fresh start."

"Damn," Chris mumbled - ruffling his brown hair. "Prisons made you a changed man, then? What were you even locked up for?"

Calum's smirk immediately faltered as he reminded himself of what he actually did. "Eh, I'm fucked up."

"Another chick?" Chris asked, his slight accent fading a bit. Calum had trusted Chris enough to tell him about his past and things he had done because he wasn't just a drug dealer, but also a friend.

"Yeah," he murmured. "But I'm officially done with that shit - I actually cared about her and I fucked it up."

"Wow, okay." His friend mumbled, taken aback. "Who was she? Maybe I know her."

"This senior that Luke's in love with," Calum shrugged - leaning against the wall. "Her name's Violet."

Chris visibly stiffened and his jaw slightly slacked - confusing Calum.

"You alright, mate?" Calum questioned - eyebrow raised.

"Um, y-yeah, fine. Uh, out of curiosity, what does she look like?" Chris asked nervously, shifting his weight from one foot to another.

"She's got purple hair," Calum said automatically. "like, lavender colour she called it. Um, she doesn't talk. She has brown eyes? I think her normal hair colour is brown because she had roots at some point but I dunno."

His face paled (if that was even possible with his ghost white skin) and he held his stomach, as if he was gonna be sick and he ran his fingers through his brown hair, mumbling no no no over and over again.
