Tears streamed down my face. My hands gripped the fabric of my shirt, wanting to tear it to pieces. Sobs wracked my body and I kept a hand over my mouth so I wouldn't scream. I trembled and shook, my breathing uneven and quick.
And it all came out of nowhere.
One minute I'm lying in bed trying to sleep. Next thing I know everything is bad and wrong and I'm the worst person in the world.
After a few minutes of self soothing I managed to get my breathing under control and I stopped crying. Just like a sandstorm, the attack had left as quickly as it had arrived. Wiping the burning salt from my eyes, I lay back down and went to sleep.
