Did I mention what a complete idiot I was?

There's a reason I don't fucking drink.

Yet here I was lying in bed feeling severely unwell.

I wasn't at all pissed last night. One glass of champagne wouldn't do that to me. But it certainly made me feel sick without all the buzz. I wouldn't call it a hangover but my mouth was rather dry and my head did throb a little.

Upon waking that morning I had to wrench myself free from Angus' embrace. I hadn't even heard him come to bed. I didn't want to leave him but I had to piss and I pried myself away. It wasn't until I saw myself in the bathroom mirror that I realised I was still wearing that pink party dress.

Couldn't even bother to change before passing out.

Washing my face and brushing my teeth, I left the bathroom and trudged back into the bedroom where Angus was sitting up in bed, yawning, his shirt and tie lying on the bedroom floor. When he saw me he smiled, his eyes sleepy. I huffed. I wasn't mad at him. It wasn't his fault.

Wanda, however, could take a dip in the fountain.

What perfect timing. Wanda shows up right as Angus gets hit on. Only to point out how friendly they're getting. Almost like she sent that Sally woman over there on purpose! Just to mess with me!

I climbed back into bed, Angus still smiling at me. "How're ya' doin'?" he asked. I mumbled something unintelligent. "Swell party, huh?" I pouted. "Ya' look cute." Without another word I stripped off my dress and threw it on the floor in a messy heap. Angus stared at it, patient as ever. He wrapped an arm around my bare shoulders and kissed my temple. "Ya' know, that Sally wasn't half as lovely as you are."

Something snapped inside of me. Remembering how Sally planted her lips on him, I wrapped my arms around Angus' neck and planted mine, hoping to erase any memory he had of her. I ran my hands through his hair, Angus frozen in surprise. He eventually placed his hands on my waist, happily joining in when I pulled away. Releasing myself from his arms I lay down in bed and faced away from him.

I didn't expect to hear him laugh and I really didn't expect him to lie back down next to me, wrapping his arms around me. I felt his lips gently brush my hair. "I'm gonna marry you someday..."
