Dear Maude,

You will never believe it. My dearest neighbour, Wanda Popplewell, is planning my wedding. She's got everything all figured out! From the dress to the ring. The fucking ring! Surprised? Me too because I'm not getting married!

I'm almost glad I can't go to the country club for another month. They need to close down to exterminate the vermin crawling around. Maybe she thinks she's being nice but she's driving me mad!

I wish you could have been there. You and I could have settled the score with her. I know she'd certainly hear a word or two from you. And they let people book gigs to play in the dining hall! You could fly over and play a few gigs, they'd love you! Have you written any new material yet? I'm sure they wouldn't mind cover songs...but I know most people there like the works of Frank Sinatra or Billie Holiday.

I really miss you. I hope you and Brett are having fun. Love you, Maudie.

Hannah
