You sat on the log you had just pulled by our little homemade campfire fit, and breathed out a sigh of relief. You had just set up our tent after Niall almost passed out from heat exhaustion. He said he felt hot, so you sent him to lie down with some ice on his forehead.
Later we planned to go on a small hike. Nothing big, since we didn't have any map of knowledge of the area around out camp. You gathered a bit more logs and sticks for the fire we planned on having while gazing at the starry night and roasting gooey marshmallows over the fire to make s'mores.
The nature was beautiful. Orials, cardinals, and bluejays flew past, chirping wildly. Cicadas in the tree made their unique sound. The breeze rustled the bright green grass and the trees leaves. The trees were around us in a circle.
The blue tent rustled and the the zipper unzipped and out stepped Niall. He looked much better than earlier- less pale and he looked ready to run around.
"I'm hungry," Niall declared as soon as he sat down.
"Nice to meet you Hungry, I'm Y/N," you smirked.
Niall sent a glare your way, obviously not in the mood for your idiocy.
"Ohhhh! He's got some sass in his as*!" You said laughing.
Niall smiled and gave you a hug.
You grabbed two sandwiches and pulled out two waters as well. Then you got up and pulled Niall's hand towards the woods.
"C'mon let's go hiking," you giggled as Niall caught up and pecked your cheek lightly.
You observed the outlook that stood out. More hills and mountains were in the distance. Fog surrounded them, with green trees scattered about. It was most likely the most beautiful thing you'd ever seen. You and Niall walked a bit further, crunching leaves and twigs beneath your feet. You came upon a babbling brook, the sound of bullfrogs and crickets notified you it was getting darker.
You were trying to catch some fireflies to show Niall but they were really fast. When you finally caught one you turned to look at Niall.
"Ni, look I f- Niall! NIALL?"
A sick feeling f formed in the pit of my stomach. This isn't like the time Niall got lost in the mall. There he could just go back to the door and wait for you. Wait! That's it! He could have went back to camp.
You stumbled blindly back to the little camp you made.
"Niall? P-please!" You called frantically.
Your first thought was to call Liam. And he would help, bit you remembered he was with his family in England. You shrugged on a jumper and pulled Niall's off the hanging hook on your tent. You zipped up the tent swatting away a few misquitos that wanted to make your night even more hectic. It was hard to stay as calm as you seemed. Really though, you were sick to your stomach, you felt like sobbing and calling the police.

Niall POV
I shivered trying to stand up. At this moment I wished to be hot like I was earlier. I could not even move I was shivering so hard. Not to mention it was too dark, the trees turned into monsters that wanted to pick me up and kill me. I started to shake even worse, but this time it was from fear and not me freezing my butt off.
"Y/N," I called out weakly.
I heard a strange noise, but it wasn't the noise I had been hearing. It was a sob.
"Y/N?" I asked, timidly.
"NIALL!"
She pulled me into a hug. Her warm body comforting my icy one.
"Put on this jumper!" She demanded.
I am slipped it on and she dragged me to the camp.

"I-I was s-so scared," she whimpered against me, as we snuggled that night in the tent.
"I was so cold," I whispered in her ear. She hugged me closer and said,
"Promise you'll always be with me."
"I promise," I said kissing her lips tenderly.
