Niall should have known. He should have known that when he saw the rest of the world getting addicted to this new game not to get it. He should have known not to get it when he saw people getting hurt or mugged or even dying when they were playing this game. But he got it anyways. Biggest mistake of his life.
Niall didn't really mean to get addicted to the game. It just sorta happened. At first he thought that this Pokémon Go game was stupid. Why in the world would you just walk around, catching these little Pokemon? He didn't quite understand why some people's life goal were to find Pikachu on this game.
That is until he actually got it. It only started off with him wandering around his flat, trying to figure out the know how of the game. He had actually ran into a wall while playing. He backed away from the wall, slightly embarrassed. He was thankful that no one was there to see him fail.
'This game is dangerous...' He thought to himself. 'But it's addicting.'
Niall finally decided that he'd get out of the house and take a walk with his new game. He was on something called Team Instinct. He didn't really know much about it except that they were the peaceful team which sounded like him. Much like the Hufflepuffs of Harry Potter.
He walked slowly down the path, listening to the gravel and leaves beneath his feet. He looked at his phone only seeing stupid Pidgeys. He had caught like a million of those already. He didn't need anymore of those dumb birds. He wanted to level up!
As he made his way back from the walk he was on, Niall sighed. This walk had honestly gotten him nowhere. He figured he might as well keep his eye out for any good Pokémon. Although, he somehow knew he wouldn't get anything good. Besides. He was hungry, and he couldn't waste his time getting home to his beautiful kitchen.
He suddenly gasped as he tripped in a small (but deep) hole. A sharp pain ran through his ankle as he fell to the ground. He scraped his arm and knee on some sharp twigs. He tried his best not to cry. It hurt really bad. He knew it wasn't broken thankfully, but he'd have to sit there for a moment.
His whole foot was numb and his arm burned badly. He groaned in pain as he pushed himself from the ground and stuffed his slightly dirty phone into his pocket. He started limping back to his house, already preparing to take a picture of his arm and complain to Snapchat. Although, he wasn't about to tell them all that he was injured while playing Pokémon Go.
"That stupid game practically got me killed!" Niall cried. The lads once again burst out laughing as Niall tried to blame it all on the game. He'd decided to tell the boys about his misfortune hoping to get a laugh out of them all. Oh and, trust me, he did. Louis laughed for at LEAST a half an hour straight.
And all Niall could think was:
'What the heck was I thinking when I got that addictive game?'
