Aemond Targaryen lived to become a weak old man, withering in the cells underneath Dragonstone. One mistake caused a lifetime of pain.
Losing Baelon, was the start to the end of the Hightowers. But it wouldn't be the end of them.

The next day. Helaena's chambers.
Baelon found himself meeting his son for the first time since he was born. The small newborn stared up at him with wide violet eyes. Curiosity was reflected in that deep soulful gaze. So much life in such a little body. Belon's heart was filled with pride as he cradled his firstborn closer to his chest.
Helaena watched him carefully, a small smile played on her lips. "He has your eyes and your hair." Helaena states, her hand coming up to adjust the small blanket that wrapped the baby, freeing it from Maegor's tight little fist.
Baelon smiled, his gaze not moving from his child. "He's beautiful." Baelon whispers. He knew if she allowed it, he would stay there for an eternity. Finally, he looks up, meeting her soft violet eyes. "That he got from you." Baelon whispers
Helaena smiles, getting emotional. "We did it Baelon." Helaena cheers silently, her hand coming up to rest on his shoulder.
Baelon chuckles, leaning over to offer a soft kiss on her cheek. Helaena hums, leaning closer into his arms. The two stood there as a small family, proud of the life they had created.
....
In the great hall.
Arianne watched her future husband-to-be as he interacted with his sworn sword. She tilts her head to the side as she releases a small hum.
Feeling her gaze, Baelon looks away from his conversation with Cahir. The knight had just arrived in the morrow, along with Reckon and a few of their men. The knight looks towards her as well, his eyes heavy and filled with sadness. He knew Baelon wouldn't stay his but it didn't hurt less.
A realization hit her, causing her to motion Baelon over. There was something she needed to clear with him, something that might affect the marriage.
....
The two enter an empty room, straying clear of any prying eyes as the door shut behind them.
Baelon looks at her confused. "What is it?" Baelon asks. He was wary on being alone with her without a chaperon, especially so close to the wedding. He didn't want to risk anyone ruining the engagement, especially over something so minor.
Arianne eyes his face, wondering if she should confront him. With a deep inhale. "Are you gay?" Arianne asks, her fingers itching at her side.
Baelon stiffens, his eyebrows raising in shock. "Your words are treason?!" Baelon whispered hisses, slowly approaching her, only to stop a few steps away. Arianne rolled her eyes. "I know but we are to be married, I need to know whether or not you are going to be able to consummate our marriage. Or am I to be mocked in the later future in regards to my baroness." Arianne hisses, anger darkening her words.
Baelon sighs, running his fingers through his hair. "I am not, while I do enjoy the male physique I also happen to enjoy women's just as much. So yes, we will consummate our marriage and you will have your heir." Baelon states
Arianne hums, nodding her head, his answer was acceptable. "Good, I would hate being celibate." Arianne states, the thought of it brought a odd chill down her spine.
Baelon chuckles, "Even if I was, you could still enjoy the pleasure. I would not deprive you." Baelon says amused. Arianne rolls her eyes. "I know you fool, but I am not a Targaryen. Let's say I get pregnant, it wouldn't be yours and those lovely eggs you've gifted me will become useless. I could not risk it." Arianne says
Baelon ohhs, scratching his jaw. "You are right....I do hope our child gets your intelligence." Baelon states
Arianne smiles at him fondly. "I hope so as well."
Baelon gapes at her, but before he can retort she leaves.
....
Three days later.
The last couple of days was hell for Baelon. Every moment he had alone was disrupted by Aemond and his onset of kisses. The prince loved to torment him with promises of more and yet only to leave him just as quickly. It was growing tiring.
Baelon tugged harshly at Aemond's belt as they kissed over his desk. Everything was thrown aside and given room for the two. Aemond was just as insatiable, needing him every night and every morning. When they weren't with the court, they were with each other.
Realizing he had begun grinding harshly against Baelons stomach. Aemond begins pulling away, only for Baelons legs to wrap around his waist, holding him there. "No." Baelon breathes against his lips. Aemond chuckles, but it bites off into a groan as his cock is massaged by a rogue hand. "Shit." Aemond pants, his head falling onto Baelon's chest. His own desire won.
Baelon presses the heel of his hand harder onto Aemond's pulsating cock, biting his bottom lip at the size of it.
Suddenly, Aemond roughly pulls away and quickly turns away. He stumbles over to a table, his palm lying flat as he hunches over. Aemond gasps and he palms his pulsating cock as he came.
Baelon watched, panting on top of his desk as Aemond's back trembled. Baelon bites off a whimper and he crosses his legs to stave himself off.
Suddenly Aemond is on him again, roughly kissing him and forcing him to lie flat on the desk. Baelon gasps, his neck arching up. Without hesitating, Aemonds hand is in Baelon's trousers, roughly palming his throbbing erection.
Baelon lets out a moan, which is muffled against Aemonds mouth.
The fair prince grins against the darker prince's lips and continues to pleasure him with long strokes. Baelon's hands move away from Aemond's shoulders and into his hair, tugging harshly at the long locks. Aemond groans his hand tightening and causing Baelon to gasp.
Before Baelon can come just as Aemond had. The cruel prince pulled his hand away, smirking against his lips.
Baelon's hips try to seek out his hand, jerking off the desk. Baelon's dick twitched painfully, causing him to whimper. "So sorry my love, while I do applaud you for that lovely move you pulled, our terms are still the same." Aemond coos tauntingly.
