Arianne graced the court with her presence, her steps were slower but her smile was bright and magnetic.

Rhaenyra approached her daughter-in-law, a sweet smile on her face. "Daughter! Good morrow!" Rhaenyra greets

Arianne brightens at the sight of the beautiful heir. "Mother, good morrow to yourself as well. You look quite beautiful, what is the occasion?" Arianne asks, noticing the extravagant jewels that adorned her neck.

Rhaenyra flushes, "Oh this! My husband surprised me. He thought that now I was soon to be expecting my first grandchild, I should be spoiled or such. He's too much, but I adore him for it." Rhaenyra states with a chuckle.

Arianne laughs with her. "Your husband is quite a loving man, I am glad to see where Baelon gets it." Arianne says

Rhaenyra's smile turns more wistful. "Unfortunately no, while it's true, my son gets his charm from his birth father." Rhaenyra says

"The late Leanor Velaryon, I did hear he was quite magnetic." Arianne says

Rhaenyra smiles brighter. "He is, I wish you would've met him, he would've loved you." Rhaenyra says, even if he wasn't the father she was speaking about. But Arianne's words brought her a certain peace, knowing Baelon married someone so good and free of gossip.

....

"How is it? Married life?" Lucerys asks as he drapes himself over his brother's couch, watching as he sorts his letters. Baelon looks up from his desk and he chuckles at the state of his brother. "Quite romantic." Baelon teases

"Ugh, please brother spare us the gory details." Jacerys teases as he pushes Lucerys feet from the end of the couch and takes a seat. Baelon chuckles. "Would you rather I describe the way I deflowered my wife in front of our young and impressionable brother? Not in your lifetime Jace." Baelon states

Jacerys grimaces. "I rather not hear any of it myself." Jace groans

"I'm not impressionable." Lucerys grumbles

Baelon smirks, fondly shaking his head. He missed this, teasing his brothers. He wanted to savor this moment, he didn't know when he'd receive another.

....

Aemond froze when he saw Lucerys exit his brother's chambers, laughing at something Jacerys said. Both Velaryons left the opposite way, not noticing the frozen prince. Memories flash in his head. memories he wished were forgotten. But despite the peace he made with it, it still hurt. Aemond shuts his eye and approaches Baelon's bedroom.

He lets out a shaky breath and he pushes the bedroom door open, shutting it behind him. Baelon looks up from his desk and he smiles warmly at Aemond. "I was wondering when you'll wonder back." Baelon teases, only to pause a few feet when he notices the pale look. "Aemond....what's wrong?" Baelon asks
