emotions: the ink in our water

We are like water, clear and pure,
Emotions are ink, dark and sure.
They fill us up, they never leave,
Though we try hard, they still cleave.

We push them away, they come back strong,
Emotions make us weak, make us feel wrong.
But they make us human, real and true,
In their depths, we find our hue.

Time, the healer, gently whispers,
Accept the ink, its darkened blisters.
For in the blend of water, ink,
Our truths emerge, as shadows shrink.

And with time we learn, to let them be,
Emotions are part of you and me.
We live with them, and find our peace,
In accepting them, our struggles cease.

PS: Hey readers! Thank you so so much for 10K reads. I don't know what else to say. The love and support y'all give has always been so overwhelming. I know this sounds cliche but when I started posting, my target was only 1K. But now that y'all have given me something I couldn't even imagine, I just don't know how to process it.
I just want to ask for one more thing, could you please check out my other poem book- "poems about love."
