Who listens to me when I cry?
When tears fall like rain from the sky,
No one's there to ease my pain,
No shoulder offered to lean my strain.I long for arms to hold me tight,
To whisper softly, "It's alright."
But solitude is my embrace,
No comforting voice, no warm embrace.Yet when they need a listening ear,
I'm always there, no hint of fear.
A smile, a nod, my heart laid bare,
Their burdens mine, with love to spare. So who listens to me when I cry?
In the silence, I wonder why
I give my all, though often denied,
Still, I stand by their side. But perhaps one day, they'll see,
I hope they see the tears I hide, the need in me.
And offer solace, warm and true,
A shoulder, a heart, for me too.
