Enid and Yoko took advantage of their break, grabbing some drinks and food before heading to the back of the cafe to eat in relative peace.
"Gosh, I'm so tired," Yoko said, sinking into one of the chairs.
"Yeah, we had so many customers today," Enid agreed, stretching her arms above her head.
Yoko bit into a donut, her eyes lighting up with a thought.
"Oh, I almost forgot to tell you," she said between bites. "Tyler mentioned last night that Wednesday goes to his studio to paint."
Enid's eyes widened with surprise and amusement. "Really? Wednesday paints?"
Yoko nodded, swallowing her bite of donut. "Yeah, apparently it's her hobby. She's pretty good at it too, from what I've heard."
"That's so cool," Enid said, a smile spreading across her face. "I never would've guessed."
Yoko leaned back in her chair, sipping her coffee. "Yeah, Tyler says she gets really into it. He said she can spend hours at the studio, just lost in her own world."
Enid looked thoughtful, her curiosity piqued. "I wonder what she paints."
Yoko gave her a playful smile. "You wanna know?"
"Hmm, I guess?" Enid replied, trying to sound casual, though her interest was clear.
Yoko leaned in closer, her smile widening. "Tyler's studio is just around the corner, you know. You could always pop in and see for yourself," she said with a teasing glint in her eye.
Enid chuckled, shaking her head. "Nah, I don't want to disturb her"
Yoko raised an eyebrow, her grin turning sly. "Oh, come on. I'm sure Wednesday wouldn't mind. She treats you better than she treats the rest of us, after all."
Enid felt her cheeks flush slightly at the insinuation. "I don't know about that," she said, trying to downplay her reaction. "She just... tolerates me, I guess."
Yoko laughed, shaking her head. "Tolerates you? She actually cares about you. That's more than 'tolerating'."
Enid felt a warmth spread through her chest at Yoko's words, but she tried to keep her expression neutral. "Well, maybe she just likes having someone to argue with."
"Or maybe she likes having someone who brings a little sunshine into her life," Yoko suggested, winking.
Enid rolled her eyes, but she couldn't help the smile that tugged at her lips. "Alright, alright. Maybe I'll drop by the studio."
Their break soon came to an end, and they returned to the bustle of the cafe. But as Enid worked, her thoughts kept drifting back to Wednesday. The curiosity gnawed at her, making her more determined to see what she paints for herself.
Later that evening, Enid found herself standing outside Tyler's studio. She hesitated for a moment, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. Taking a deep breath, she pushed the door open and stepped inside.
The studio was filled with the scent of paint and the soft hum of classical music. Her eyes scanned the room until they landed on Wednesday, who was completely engrossed in her work. Enid took a few cautious steps closer, not wanting to break the spell.
Wednesday looked up, surprised by her entrance.
"Enid," she greeted, her voice tinged with genuine surprise. "I didn't expect you to come here."
Enid chuckled awkwardly.
"Yoko mentioned that you come here to paint," she explained, glancing over at Tyler, who was seated in front of his canvas, busily working on his own painting. "Well, actually, Tyler told her."
