The day was long and hectic. Some people quit and some just cried before they ran off. And some got hurt but picked themselves right back up and kept on despite their injury.

Once it was all done I was ready to go to bed and sleep for a long time.

"Are you ok?" Lance asked

"I'd love to just climb into bed and go to sleep" I answered

"That bad huh?" he asked

"Well it was a long endless day. I didn't have time to take a break I was dealing with the paperwork of the students who quit and the others who just cried and took off running with no explanation of what was going on so I assumed they were finished with it." I explained

"Will you be ok getting home?" he asked

"I hope I am. If not I'll probably crash here" I reply

"Let me take you home. I won't do anything, just wanna make sure your safe at home and not about to be mugged if someone tries to break in here to harm you" he says to me

I nodded my head and followed him out to his car.

I was so tired I just fell asleep right when I got in Lance's car.

When I woke up I didn't recognize where I was so I got up and went looking for something to tell me what was going.

" Oh look who woke up" I hear

"Is this your place?" I asked

"Yea since you crashed as soon as you got in my car" he replied

" Sorry bout that" I tell him

"No, don't apologize, this actually was a great way to make sure you were ok."

"Well thank you for making sure that I was safe."

"Any time."

Lance took me to get my car.

"Are you awake enough to grab a bite or do you wanna sleep more?" he asked

I smiled

"How about you come to my place at thirty minutes to find out?"

He walked over and gave me a kiss.

"Alright I'll see you in thirty minutes."

I went home and got freshened up before I waited for Lance to show up.

He surprised me by taking me on a late night picnic with fairy lights hanging from the trees in the garden.

"I figured we'd picnic here then go into the field and gaze."

"I like it."

" gald you do. Shall we?"

He offers me his hand and helps me up the steps to where the picnic was set up.

" I don't know how you got this arranged in thirty minutes but this is really amazing" I say as we sit across from each other.

"Well I had this set up before I asked you to come. Cause I was hoping you'd agree to come and not go back to sleep" He tells me

We spent the whole time talking about different things like how it felt when we got our very first gold metal and how we pictured our future to be.

After the date was done he took me home and kissed my goodnight with the promise of seeing me tomorrow.
