"All right, keep a lookout," JJ said from the front seat of the Twinkie as they pulled up in front of the local Kook hotel and restaurant.

"We're behind enemy lines," he continued as he pulled the gun out of the glove box, loading it ready.

"Yo, come on, man. Just put it back," John B said from the driver's seat, noticing the gun JJ was preparing in his hands.

"What, you can never be too careful."

Pope opened the door from the side, standing next to JJ.

"Hey, I predict that bringing a weapon to a four-star hotel will likely cause more problems than they solve," Pope suggested.

"Thank you, Pope," John B said relieved that someone agreed.

"I swear to God, I'm gonna throw that thing in the ocean, JJ," Kiara said poking her head in between where John B and JJ were sitting making her way out the side door.

JJ looked into the rearview mirror at Isobelle who was about to make her way out with the others. He had a daring look in his eyes, wondering if she agreed with the others.

"Just put it back," Isobelle said as she took the gun from his hands and put it back in the front compartment, leaning over his shoulder to do so.

She had her long wavy brown hair out, it had neat sets of waves through it after having them in braids the night before. JJ couldn't help but notice how her hair gently tickled his skin as she knelt over him. Their fingers gained contact as she took the gun from him, to her surprise he gave it to her without any fight, as he was completely and utterly mesmerized by the girl he was looking at, the smell of her perfume, the way her hair dangled perfectly over her shoulder. He couldn't help but feel butterflies in the pit of his stomach, a feeling he had never really felt before.

"There you go," Pope said.

"You can't grab a gun like that," JJ protested. "Can't forget my badge."

"Professional busboy," he continued as the 5 of them began walking towards the building.

"So, where are we going now?" Pope asked uncertain how foolproof the plan was exactly.

"We're getting on the internet because only rich people have electricity now. This way!" JJ answered leading the way through the car park, closely followed by the rest of them.

JJ leads the pogues through a backway entry of the building with a sign saying 'staff only', which leads straight through a kitchen. There were cooks everywhere, working away using the various fancy appliances surrounding them. There was steam everywhere, people yelling and talking loudly, waiters taking orders, and chefs preparing them.

"What's up, bro?" JJ said passing a few people he knew.

They soon walk past a much older, short lady who was wearing a chef hat, she was standing over a bowl filled to the brim of prawns.

"Mamma L, good to see you!" JJ said, attempting to distract her whilst sliding his right hand into the bowl. Unfortunately his attempt at being discrete failed miserably.

"Hey, no!" the lady replied swatting his hand with a wooden spoon before he managed to pick up any food. They managed to weave their way past the kitchen and into a heavily decorated hallway.

"See they got the backup generators going? Kooks don't miss a beat," JJ explained as they walked through the hallway, lined with lighting, paintings, plants, and expensive-looking couches. They finally made their way into a quiet room filled with multiple computers and devices.

Immediately, Pope's eyes lit up, "Sweet Lord, the internet! I've missed you."

They all made their way next to Pope as he sat down on the chair, starting up the computer.

"Let me get in there. Gotta check out my Insta models." JJ said closing the door and coming to stand with the rest of them.

"Yeah, we definitely don't have time for that," Isobelle replied.

John B began to look through JJ's backpack pulling out the map his father had left him in the envelope he had found at the cemetery. "Hey, hey, hey, I got the map!"

"Coordinates, please?" Pope asked typing away on the keyboard.

"34°C 57' 30" north. 75°C 55' 42" west." John B replied reading the map.

Pope had managed to look up Google Earth and began typing the coordinates in as John B read them to him. The red indicator pinged on the water a short distance from an island that rimmed the outer banks.

"Boom, continental shelf right there." John B said pointing at the red locator.

"Ok, well, if it's off the deep end, it's not gonna be much of a treasure hunt, is it?" Pope said looking at John B. He began to zoom in more.

"Come on baby," JJ said with hope in his voice. "Come on."

They suddenly began to hear footsteps and voices nearby, luckily no one entered the room.

"Shit, it's on the high side. It's only 900 feet." John B said once the map was completely zoomed in.

"That's not that deep," JJ said.

"Is that doable or something?" Kiara asked.

"Yeah, totally doable," JJ answered.

"Okay, will we be taking your personal submarine?" Pope asked sarcastically.

"How do you know this, Mr. Dive Master?" Isobelle asked adding in on Pope's sarcasm.

"The salvage yard. They got a drone that can drop 1,000. It has a 360 camera and everything. It's for, like, deep dives and stuff. It's exactly what we need." JJ answered.

"And can your dad get his grimy little hands on that?" John B asked.

"Well, my dad's grimy little hands got his ass fired. I guess the salvage captain follows on showing up shitfaced, turns out."

"Great," Isobelle said.

"But the drones there. It's in the impound yard out back." JJ continued.

"How much did you say was on the Royal Merchant again?" Kiara asked, clearly thinking what JJ was thinking.

"Uh, 400 million, 400 mils," both John B and JJ said in unison. Immediately the light bulb clicked for Pope too, as he got up and began to guard the door, not liking where their little plan was going.

"400 million dollars?" Isobelle said in disbelief.

"Yep," JJ said. The four of them immediately got up.

"No. Absolutely not. Absolutely not. No!" Pope was yelling holding his arms out trying to block the door.

"Pope, move," Isobelle said nudging his arm out of the way and opening the door, with JJ following closely behind her.

"Guys, that's too..." Pope tried to argue.

"Come on," Kiara said following the other two outside the door and back into the fancy hallway.

"Can't we do anything legal for money?" Pope asked John B who was putting the backpack on his back.

"Go," was all John B answered lightly pushing him through the doorway and shutting the door.
