REBEKAH SAT IN A ROCKING CHAIR, Zyanya snuggled on her chest.

Citlali sat in the chair scrolling through her phone, while Xóchitl had went back home to shower.

Citlali's stomach had began rumbling, she hadn't eaten dinner and was starving. She stood up, and looked over at the blonde, "I'm gonna go get something to eat. Do you need anything?" She was starting to feel lightheaded and if she didn't eat anything now, she would be the one needing medical attention. "I'll be back."

"Okay."

"Do you need anything?"

Rebekah shook her head, running her finger over to Zyanya's face, earning a small smile from the baby, "No."

Zyanya reached her tiny hand up and clenched onto a fistful of blonde. Rebekah attempted to free her hair from her daughter's hold, but it was of no use, and since Zyanya wasn't pulling her hair, she let her be.

Citlali knew if she herself was starving, then the original had to be too. And the more she thought about it, she couldn't remember the last time Rebekah had a 'meal'.

"When was the last time you had something to... drink?" Citlali waited for a response but after a long pause she got her answer, "It's been too long. I'll find a way to get some, just please, don't compel anyone. We do consent here. If you want it from a warm body, I know people who are into that."

Although she perfected fresh blood, Rebekah was way too mentally exhausted to use mind compulsion on anyone, "A bag will do for now, thank you."

"Okay, I'll be back in a bit." Citlali said before leaving.

Rebekah let out a long, fatigued sigh. She really wished her daughter would stop giving her scares like these, she stroked her baby's tiny nose taking a long moment to memorize her little features, she'd never grow tired of looking at her daughter.

"You need to stop giving me these scares, lovey." Rebekah whispered, bending down to press a kiss onto her baby's cheek, "I know you have a flare for the dramatics but we have to dial it back a bit." She said before pressing another kiss onto Zyanya's cheek, "You've got to try to stay out of hospital for more than a few weeks."

All she wanted for Zyanya was to live a life ruled without fear (she'd never allow anyone to scare Zyanya the way Mikael, and sometimes Klaus, made her feel) That's not what she wanted for her child. A carefree life, she'd never got to experience. With a mother that cared and protected her. (She just prayed to anyone listening that she could be enough for her daughter, and turn out nothing like her mother or father)

She wanted Zyanya to have an epic love (or loves, who was she to judge) So be it if her daughter turned out just like her and fell in love with any boy that paid her an ounce of attention (she was praying Zyanya wasn't as desperate as her for love or attention). One things for sure, she'd make certain no one would berate her daughter like they did her, for simply wanting to be loved and cherished by someone.

But above all else, she wanted Zyanya to be healthy. Rebekah didn't want her daughter to only know the inside of hospitals. There was so much the world had to offer her, but she couldn't make her better by sheer force of will. Couldn't take away all illnesses just by loving her. (Unless she just gave her daughter a few drops of her blood, she'd have to make a mental note about bringing it up to Citlali)

"You've got to get better, lovey." Rebekah caressed Zyanya's butter soft cheek, "You've still got to meet your nutty uncles. They'd love you, I'm sure of it."

Sure, her brothers would be utterly baffled, maybe downright dodgy. Probably think she'd been bamboozled by the Teotihuacán coven, used her weakness of wanting a child of her own as a ploy to take down Klaus and the rest of their family. Even bring Hope harm.
