Chapter Four
Jager
I knew bringing this particular pet home would anger Lidia and excite Mason but it wasn’t as if we didn’t have other human slaves here. There were probably more slaves in the house than vampires. A human boy hurried towards me, he was one of those who had grown up in my house and had almost as much free will here as the vampires, of course he was still a slave and still had chores to do, but he was a favourite of mine.
“Master,” he said.
I stopped. “Yes, Philip?”
“You told me to tell you if anyone goes to your room while the new one is in there while you spoke to Mason about staying away from her while she don’t know the rules.”
“Yes, Philip, I know all this.”
He nodded. “I just saw Mistress Lidia coming out of you room. She looked happier than usual.”
“Shit!” I took off towards my room, humans and vampire a-like getting out of my way. The last two corridors to my room were empty, only Philip is allowed down here and that is to clean. I swung open my doors and looked around the room. She was gone. What had Lidia done with her? I moved around the bed moving towards the walk-in-wardrobe, and come to a stop when I found her. She was curled up in a ball against my bed, her throat red, her lip busted and her breathing uneven. I picked her up and put her into bed. She sat bolt right up, instantly waking and screaming; “Dustin!” She looked around wildly, searching for someone or something until her eyes came to rest on me. She looked shocked to be in bed and was looking at me puzzled.
“This is now your room as much as mine,” I told her.
Her eyes widened and she shook her head. “I won’t share your bed!”
I grinned, “oh yes you will.”
She scrambled across the bed and stood, putting the bed between us. “That’s why you brought me here, isn’t it. I won’t. I won’t let you touch me!”
“That’s not for you to decide. You’re in my house do and you will do as I say. It’s not like your still a virgin anyway.”
Something like pain shot through her eyes, but it was gone again before I could figure out what it meant. I rolled my eyes. “Go to sleep human. I won’t touch you tonight. If you wish to wash up, the bathroom is at the end of the walk in wardrobe. I’ll get Philip to bring in some clothes for you.”
I left the room and found Philip. “Philip, I have a job for you. I want you to find some clothes for the girl, wash her other clothes and give them back.”
“What type of clothes?” he asked.
I frowned. “I don’t know, jeans and a singlet?” I had no clue what she wore, so she could wear what all the other girls in this house did. “If you see Lidia, tell her I wish to speak with her.” I continued down the hall, I had plenty of other things I needed to do tonight and the girl wasn’t going anywhere. It occurred to me that I hadn’t asked her what her name was. Of course I didn’t know the name of most the slaves in the house but if she was to stay in my room it was probably a good idea to know what she’s called.
I was leaning over the desk in my office, trying to sort out the paper work Lidia had messed up again and wondering what exactly I was to do about the girl, she had to have something to do whilst I was not with her.
Lidia strode into my office as if she owned the place.
“Get out,” I told her.
“I was told you wanted to see me.”
