Avika wrapped her scarf tighter around her neck as she stepped out of the hotel, the chill of the evening air biting at her cheeks. She had planned to call her driver , as she did most time. But tonight, her routine was broken.

Leaning against a sleek black car parked at the curb was Anirudh. His posture was casual, but his eyes were sharp, assessing her every move. He was impeccably dressed, as always, his tailored coat emphasizing his broad shoulders. His presence commanded attention, and she felt the weight of his gaze as she approached. She was shocked and confused upon seeing him.

"Anirudh" she said, her voice clipped and wary. "What are you doing here?" She said walking closer to him. "Come I will drop you your home." he replied, his tone as cold as the winter air. "Tum ?!! Tum Ghar choroge mujhe ?!" She yelled in shocked tone. He sighed seeing her overreaction. "Nahi Bhai tum merko ghar pahuchane ki jagah sidhe bhagwan ke pass pahucha doge...mai nahi ja rhi tumhare sath"

Anirudh sighed while glancing to the little crowd which gathered around them due to her loud voice. He massaged his temple while glaring at her. "Chup chap gadi ma betho, dadi na bola ha tumko chor ke aane ka". She narrowed her eyes while looking at him suspiciously. "Sahi batao, kahi soon saan sadak pe le jake merko maar dalne ka irada toh nhi ha tumhara. Tum ye toh nahi soch rahe ki iska kissa khatam kar deta hon..na rahegi Dulhan na hogi shadi-" "Avika..get inside the car I don't have whole day for this... Tumko chor ke wapas bhi aana ha" Anirudh said in stern and cold tone causing to Avika shut her mouth immediately.

She hesitated, her mind racing. Accepting a ride from Anirudh meant enduring his frosty silence or, worse, his curt remarks that left her feeling smaller with each word. But refusing might provoke a different kind of coldness, one she couldn't afford."Fine," she said finally, pulling her luggage closer to her side as if it could shield her from the tension between them.

He opened the car door for her, a gesture that felt more like a command than a courtesy. She was shock seeing him behaving like a total gentleman, maybe because his grandmother had ordered him to do so she thought. She slid into the passenger seat, the leather cold against her skin. Anirudh got in beside her, the car's engine purring to life with a low growl.

The drive was silent, the air thick with unspoken words. Avika stared out the window, watching the city lights blur past, each moment stretching painfully. She could feel his presence beside her, a wall of ice that no warmth could penetrate.

She cleared her throat in an attempt to start a conversation between them. "Kal kya ho gaya tha tumko ?" She said breaking the ice between them. She shifted her gaze outside upon receiving silence from his side.

The drive was oppressively silent. The city lights outside blurred into a kaleidoscope of colors, but inside the car, the atmosphere was devoid of warmth or connection. Avika kept her eyes fixed on the window, the passing scenery a welcome distraction from the man beside her. She could feel the weight of his presence, a wall of ice that seemed impenetrable.

"Gadi roko" She yelled suddenly while thumping her hand on the front. He abruptly pulled brake bringing car to halt. They both jerked in their place due to sudden halt. "What ?" He yells checking her up down to see if she is alright. "Woh golgappe" she mumbled beneath her breathe embarassed. "Kya ?" He says in disbelief listening to her. "Woh golgappe khane ha merko-" He opened the door marching out of the car in anger. He unlocked her door and dragged her out from her elbow. "The fuck woman" he yells jerking her back. Her back colliding with the cold metal of car sending shiver down her spine.
