Total nightmare part 1

(Dragons edge, third person)

It's been quite a while since Heathers departure. And today was the rider's annual drill session of flying around the island and entering then exiting the dome in the training grounds before it closes, the first participants was Toothless and Hiccup who were out within the outskirts of the edge, the rest were waiting at the Dome, Fishlegs also had the book of monsters with him to past the time and Astrid was on watch for Toothless and Hiccup with her monocular.

Fishlegs: ooo whats this one? Gravios... extremely hard shell, lives in volcanos and swamps, emits sleeping and can shoot out beams of heat? Fascinating... I wonder if it could fit in the boulder class, or maybe stoker...

Astrid: still reading that book Fishlegs?

Fishlegs: obviously! There's so many creatures in here we don't know about! Ah if only we could meet some of them! Well, other than Ragnar that is.

Astrid: ...there they are!

Through Astrids monocular, Toothless and Hiccup finally come in to view, appearing from large cliff. They were now circling around for the last stretch.

Fishlegs: close the dome!

Ruffnut: and so the drama commences...

Tuffnut: one man, one dragon, one leg...

The twins pull down the leaver next to them.

Tuffnut: vs one rapidly closing dome.

Hiccup looks down to Edge, he could see the dome getting ready to shut, it'll be a close one but he knows they'll make it, after manoeuvring around some smaller cliffs Toothless dose a sharp turn and makes a beeline towards the large hole within the centre of the edge, he gets inside and quickly slows down and zooms upwards thus avoiding crashing into a wall.

The rest of the gang watch in anticipation as the dome was nearly finished shutting, a confident Snotlout firmly believes in them failing the drill.

Snotlout: nah there's no way they're making that.

Almost immediately as he saids this, Toothless zooms out the dome right before it closes and he lands on the ground with the rest of them, they all cheer for his success.

Except for one.

Snotlout: what!? No way! 

Hiccup gets off from Toothless who walks over to other dragons.

Stormfly: your still the best at this, as usual.

Toothless: thanks Stormfly.

Snotlout: Hookfang! It's our turn.

Hookfang: watch and learn you lot.

Hookfang walks to Snotlout and lets him climb on his neck.

Fishlegs: come on Snotlout, no one can beat the dome except Hiccup.

Snotlout: until now!

Hiccup: do you have to turn it into a game?

Astird: don't we always?

Hiccup: ...fair enough.

Tuffnut: first it was a drill, then it became a game! Now it is theatre!

Ruffnut: let the drama unfold!

Snotlout and Hookfang finally depart off to waterfall as their starting point, the twins start wagering on what body part Snotlout is going to loose, Hiccup rolls his eyes at this.

Meatlug: hey, do you think Ragnar could do it? He hasn't tried before.

Toothless: he seemed pretty fast when me and him were chasing Windshear that one time.
