Chapter 56

Liliana 

“Lili, Lili—” Someone jerks my shoulder while whispering my name continuously, making my body jerks up and I gasp. Opening my eyes, the first thing I see is—Katherine's worried face. A fine line of frown appearing between her brows. “Baby, are you alright?” She asks as she clutches my cheek gently and she rubs her thumb on my cheek.

I can't certainly remember what happened. What happened last night? 

Bicycle accident, Jeon Jungkook, hospital, home and meeting the stalker.

My brain skyrockets with sudden emergency, my breath gets harsher and I close my eyes to think straight. “Lili, look at me. What are you doing here outside of the apartment?” She asks and I take a deep breath. “I'm okay.” I whisper as I try to get up from my awkward position, Katherine helps me to get up and escort me to my apartment. She hands me a glass of water and I finish it with one gulp.

“How do you know I wasn’t okay?” I whisper. “You texted me to come, didn’t you remember?” She asks and I take some deep inhales again. I really can't remember when I texted her. Probably I was too scared and texted Katherine to come. Maybe. Although, I don't remember anything at all. I was too scared.

“Babygirl, look at you, what have you done? You look devastated.” Katherine sighs as she fixes my hair while I take a sharp inhale, my body trembling slightly. How many times have passed? I don't certainly remember. In fact, I don't remember what I did after the last encounter with my stalker.

The encounter wasn’t so pleasant but somehow it felt similar. I can't rectify what. 

“You said you don't have any shift today, how about I take you shopping? It will ease your mind a bit, okay?” Kat offers as she cups my chin and makes me look at her. 

“Oh my God, my baby looks so dull and devastated. Did you even eat or you're still starving?” She asks as she helps me to get up. I’m still behind the building where I had met my stalker last night and I was too scared to move that I fell asleep here.

“Kat, can you help me to reach my apartment?” I manage to whisper and she helps me to reach my apartment as she sits me down on the navy blue couch which I got when I moved to this apartment. “No way that you stay here. I can't believe it.” Katherine says as she rotates her head to see the surroundings with wide eyes.

“How are you even staying here for almost a month, Lili? Oh my God, Ari will faint if she sees you living here.” She says as she crosses her arms over. I sigh. “I don't have that much savings, you know? And I wasn’t working back in Korea because of the scandal. Although Jungkook had provided me with one of his black cards, I couldn’t take any sort of risk to spend any money, you know? It’s not possible.” I say softly and she nods.

“Let’s get you some food then we will go shopping, okay? It’s my treat for you today.” She says and I tug my lower lip between my teeth, pondering, what if I meet Jungkook and Olivia again? Man, I'm going crazy.

I give a faint smile as I get up from the couch and enter my room to change my clothes. Irony, how I always was obsessed over black things and now my wardrobe is full of colorful clothes. Not that I mind but I have a soft spot for black outfits and ornaments. Anyways. You have to do so many things that go against your will but you do so.

It’s a part of life.

“You at least need to put on the wig, Kat.” I sigh as I fix my glasses and my top. “Ah, Baby girl, I’ll be okay. I don't think Jungkook can recognize me, we didn’t meet that often.” She says as she puts on the brunette wig and I chuckle.
