My eyes lock with the blank whiskey eyes and he checks me up from head to toe when I'm climbing down with my Mum joining beside me and wraps one of her slender arms around my waist. “My baby is looking so gorgeous.” She says and I crack a small smile. This is probably the first time she said something genuinely.
The certain pair of eyes still ogling me, staring at me like a hawk with no emotion written on his face. The only thing he does is gripping the wine glass tighter. The more I'm getting close to him, the more he's gripping the glass tighter. The girl beside him is staring at me with a smirk plastered on her lips and honestly speaking, she is scaring me a bit, but not much. Not much like before when—
I don't want to even think about it. It's past. The phase just passed already. It won't happen again. Besides, she’s in my Mum's penthouse so, there's no way.
“Ask forgiveness or else, I might strip you naked.”

“Quit mocking my daughter, Miss—whatever. You're here with someone else I guess, otherwise, I would have never invited a woman like you to my party.” My mother says and I take a deep breath.
She's defending me.
I see Lily's face drenching its color and she’s digging holes into my skin. “Oh, Mrs. Choi, I guess your daughter knows me well.” She says with a mocking grin and I roll my eyes. In this whole span of time, Jungkook didn’t utter a single word, he's just staring at me as if he had never seen me before. His intense eyes are enough to shake my knees violently.
“Do you know her, Little Candy?” My mother asks and I sigh. “Not so good, but I guess she was in my uni last semester when I first got admitted there.” I say and stare at Lily who is clenching her jaw tightly and observing me like she can eat me alive now.
What? What does she think about me? That I still care about her and her so-called friend? She literally broke me apart, made my uni life a living hell. And I would never forgive her for that. I once considered her as my sister as she was older than me but I didn’t assume that she would stab me from behind. I was hurt by her behavior, literally traumatizing me.
