The next afternoon, after everyone had slept their hangovers over, they met up outside, per Zyran's request.
"Yo." Nara announced her arrival, clad in a gold, metallic bomber jacket, a black crop top, and black leather pants with black high-heeled boots. Her hands rested in the pockets of her jacket.
"Enjoy your hangover?" Lina asked, crossing her arms, dressed in a black and white striped shirt, jeans, a jean jacket, and simple converse.
"Ugh. Don't remind me." She rolled her eyes.
Lina turned to Zyran as he jogged across the street to them. He was dressed in his signature leather jacket, jeans, and black boots.
"Hey," He said, running a hand through his hair.
"Hey, you texted us to come outside." Lina stated, brows furrowed slightly.
He nodded, stuffing his hands in his pockets. "Yeah. I figured, after last night, we could hang out."
"Wait," Nara stood up straight. "So you're saying that wasn't a nightmare?"
"Well, considering I was more sober than you—" Zyran started.
"And I was the most sober." Lina interrupted, giving her a stern look.
"—I'd say it wasn't a dream." Zyran finished.
"Damn." Nara cursed, turning her head away.
Zyran nodded his head in the direction of his house. Nara lived on a different block, but Lina lived across from Zyran and Eric. "Come on. Eric's still sleeping, so we'll have to wake him up."
"Well, if you insist." Nara raised her foot and dropped it, taking a step and making a loud clomp sound. Walking across the street, they walked inside Zyran and Eric's place. Much bigger than Nara and Lina's.
"Mom's doing laundry, but she promised to leave us alone." Zyran announced, leading them upstairs to where Eric's room was.
It was easy to find, as it was the only door of the upstairs that had a sign that said KEEP OUT on it. Zyran opened the door, but Nara jumped forward. "I got this." She grinned, walking backward then spinning around to walk toward Eric's bed, where he lay sleeping, half of his body out from underneath the cover. Grinning, she jumped onto the bed, effectively waking him up. "Morning, sunshine!"
He groaned. "Dude, get off my bed with your shoes." He pushed at her legs. She jumped down as he lifted his head up. "What time is it?"
"Three-thirty." Nara answered, swinging from the bed frame pillar and resting her shoulder against it.
"A.M.?"
"Suns out, so no."
He groaned, stuffing his face into his pillow. "Come on, Eric. Can't sleep all day. Plus, Mom finished the basement."
"The basement, huh?" Nara turned to Zyran with a smile. "I'd like to see this for myself."
"You will, once he gets up."
Nara smacked the back of his leg. "Get up."
"I'm up! Jesus." He pushed himself up and sat up, a pillow in his lap. "Can you guys leave so I can get dressed?"
"Awe, I wanted to see the show." Nara teased, walking toward the door.
"Get out."
"Come on. Don't you want to show your best friend in the whole wide world what you've got?" She waggled her eyebrows, resulting in a pillow being thrown at her head. "Okay, okay! I'm going." She laughed.
