The five of them sat in a booth at Rousseaus, the lighting dim aside from the single warm light hanging above them. Drunken yelling and chatter came from every direction, glass clinking and waiters walking up and down the walk way.
Nara sat in the booth opposite of Aurora, beside Lina. Eric sat in a chair that was pulled up to the table while Aurora and Zyran sat in the other booth.
Aurora watched with a disturbed look as Nara dug into a plate of wings. She was tearing into them like a rabid animal, sauce covering her mouth and hands.
Zyran glanced at her and chuckled. "You've never seen Nara with a plate of wings before, have you?"
"No...but I'm beginning to believe that maybe she should've been the vampire." She replied.
"Nara, quit it. You're getting barbeque sauce on my food." Lina scowled, knocking her with her elbow.
"Oh, so sorry, your majesty." Nara retorted. Lina gave her an annoyed glance.
Eric chewed on his food before turning to Aurora. "After a while, you get used to it."
"So you keep saying..." She murmured, fidgeting with her food.
"Oh, can you get me a bottle of whiskey?" Eric asked a waitress as she walked by.
"We don't have money for that, Eric." Zyran scowled. "Don't get him the bottle." He directed at the waitress.
She scrunched her brows. "Am I getting the bottle or no?"
"No."
"Yes."
Zyran glared at his brother. "No. You can get him a glass, nothing more."
"A glass of whiskey coming up." She smiled before she was disappearing.
Aurora sighed, leaning back. She probably looked worse than the others. She was paling, and beginning to look sickly. Even with sleep, she still felt exhausted.
"How are we going to pay for all of this?" Zyran asked as Nara delved into another round of wings. He quirked a brow at her, amused.
"Well, lucky for you, because I found a wallet in the car and it had three hundred dollars in it." Lina grinned, holding up the cash.
"Oo." Eric reached for it.
Lina slapped his hand. "You don't get to touch."
Eric pouted as she handed over the cash to Zyran. Aurora was surprised she offered up the money, but then she reminded herself that these were her friends long before she was her enemy.
"All of this has to be at least fifty." Zyran stated. "So that leaves us with about two-hundred something dollars."
"It's going to be more if Nara doesn't stop eating the whole menu." Lina scowled at her.
"I can't help it. It's fucking delicious." She countered, holding her hands out in a do you blame me kind of way. Nara looked at Aurora's uneaten plate. "Are you going to eat that?"
She shook her head, pushing it toward her. Lina gave her an annoyed look. "Sure, give her more food to shove into her giant mouth." She rolled her eyes.
Zyran looked at Aurora, his brows furrowed. "Why didn't you eat?"
"I'm not hungry."
"You sure?" He raised a brow in concern. "You look a little worse for wear."
"I'll be fine." She assured, but she didn't know whether she was comforting him or herself. The waitress returned, placing down Eric's drink. "Uhm, excuse me?"
