The inside was similar to the bathroom, in a way. The light gave off a greenish color, some of them completely out, and the place looked sketchy and almost abandoned. A man sat behind the counter, but he didn't give them a second glance.

Aurora walked to one of the shelves, looking at all the unfamiliar candies and snacks. She picked up one, a bag of skittles, and stared at it confused.

Zyran stepped up beside her. "Why are you staring at it like it's a riddle you can't figure out?"

"What is this?" She asked, studying the red packaging.

"They're called skittles." He took them from her. "It's candy."

"Skittles..." She repeated slowly. "Your world is strange." She told before she continued down the aisle.

Nina jogged over to them, bookbag in hand. "I found this bag. Figured we could stuff some food and stuff inside. Just until we can get better things."

"If we get better things." Lina threw from the other aisle, staring down at the cans of food.

"Remember, we only have limited money so we can't get too much." Zyran reminded. Nara rolled her eyes as Aurora grabbed one of the chocolate bars off the shelf.

"Here's this." Lina said, stuffing a bunch of cans into the bag.

Nara took one out, reading the Campbell's Soup on the side. "How are we supposed to make these?"

"Fire." Lina answered.

"We don't have pots or pans, you idiot. We can't make this over an open fire." She stated.

"Then what do you suggest? Living off junk food the rest of our lives?" Lina quirked a brow.

"I'm down for that." Eric said, walking — more like stumbling — over to them. He bumped into the shelf and a bunch of food clattered to the ground. "My bad."

"Pick it up." Lina scolded.

Aurora took a bite of the candybar she had opened and her face immediately scrunched in disgust. She spit it out, grimacing. "Eugh." She stuffed it back on the shelf and turned to walk away from the group when the man from behind the counter appeared. She jumped at the sight of him.

"You gonna pay for that?" He asked in a deep, dark voice.

She glanced back at the half eaten piece of candy. "How much?"

"Five dollars." He grinned at her, his teeth turning black.

"Five dollars?" Lina stepped forward. "The price is only one."

"She ate it." He sneered at her. "So pay." He turned back to Aurora. Zyran grabbed her belt loop, pulling her back, but the man grabbed her by the wrist. "I said, pay up." He demanded, tightening his grip.

"No." Aurora told instead.

The man's face contorted into anger. "What?"

"No."

"Why you..." He reached for her, but the second he touched her, he was sent flying back into a rack of lighters, by the register.

The five stared in shock. Aurora looked down at her hands. Had she done that?

The man stood up, snarling at the five of them. "You little bitch." The man hissed. He stormed toward them and before Zyran could grab Aurora, she was stepping forward.

She stopped him, staring him dead in the eyes. "Forget we were ever here." His features relaxed and he stood still. Aurora held a hand up, whispering a spell and watching as his body collapsed to the floor. She turned to the others. "Come on. I don't know how long that spell will last."
