It had been thirty minutes, and Aurora still hadn't emerged from the bathroom. Lina sat on Zyran's bed, scrolling on her phone.
Zyran walked inside, setting the clothes on the bed. "She still not out yet?"
She shook her head. "Honestly starting to think she drowned herself in there."
The shower was still running, but they couldn't hear much aside from that. "I'm gonna give her these clothes." Zyran took the clothes with him to the bathroom door and knocked. "Aurora? I have clothes for you."
"Set them on the counter." She called back.
Awkwardly, Zyran opened the door and set the clothes on the counter, careful not to look in the mirror, then he slipped back out. "Definitely alive."
"Yo, your mom has a cheese board! How awesome is that?" Nara asked as she walked into the room, jumping onto the bed.
"Why are you eating on my bed?" He scowled.
"Relax. I'm not gonna get anything on your ridiculously priced bed sheets." Nara rolled her eyes, tossing a piece of cheese into her mouth.
Eric stumbled into the room, plopping down onto the bed with Nara and Lina. Zyran rolled his eyes. Eric was already drunk.
"What are we going to do about Aurora?" Lina asked, shutting off her phone screen.
"What's there to do?" Nara shrugged.
"Aurora has been locked in that place for over a hundred years. They're going to notice she's missing." Lina stated.
Nara sat up, brows furrowed. "Did you say a century?" Lina nodded.
"She's been locked in there since eighteen-forty-nine." Zyran told.
"How old is she?" Eric asked. At least he was conscious enough to have a conversation.
"Who knows." Zyran shrugged, his arms crossed over his chest.
"She looks our age." Nara stated, eyes wide.
"Well, clearly, she's not." Zyran remarked.
"Guys," Lina sat up straight. "We need to figure this out. You saw all of those people. Do you really want to end up just like them?"
"We don't even know why they had them in the first place." Zyran stated, dropping his arms and shrugging.
"Do we really want to find out?" She raised a brow.
"What are you so worried about?" Nara snorted. "Not like they're gonna kill us."
The bathroom door opened, Aurora stepping out. The blood, dirt, and grime no longer tainted her skin. Her hair was still wet, but it only made the curls in her hair more evident. She was dressed in a black crop top with an autumn color plaid jacket, black ripped jeans, and black boots.
Zyran, Eric, and Nara all stared. They didn't recognize the girl standing in front of them.
She held a necklace up. "I don't believe this is mine."
Lina looked around, then rolled her eyes. "Oh, for crying out loud." She grabbed a pillow, smacking Nara with it then threw one at Eric and Zyran. "You three are acting like you've never seen a girl before."
Zyran cleared his throat. "It's mine." He walked toward her, holding his hand out. Aurora dropped the necklace in his palm and he smiled in thanks.
"How are you still alive?" Nara asked, her face scrunched.
"I'm a vampire." Aurora told simply. "Well, partially."
"What, you're a halfling or something?" Eric asked, rolling onto his stomach.
