HIIII!! Welcome back!!

_______________

"Vox escaped prison"

"This is bad," Lucifer muttered, his voice tight with a mix of fear and guilt. He could feel the weight of the past pressing down on him—the memory of turning Vox in.

Alastor's voice quivered as he spoke, "What are we going to do, Lucifer? If Vox is out, he'll come after us. After you. After Charlie."

Lucifer placed a reassuring hand on Alastor's shoulder, trying to steady his own nerves as much as Alastor's. "We'll be fine, Alastor. Vox is probably too busy hiding from the police to come after us right now. We have time to figure things out."

Alastor shook his head, panic rising in his chest. "But what if he's not? What if he's already planning something? What if—"

"No 'what ifs,'" Lucifer interrupted gently but firmly. "Listen to me. We've dealt with difficult situations before, and we'll handle this too. We need to stay calm and think rationally. Panicking won't help us or Charlie."

Alastor took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing thoughts. Lucifer's calm demeanor, despite the fear he knew was lurking beneath, was somewhat reassuring. He needed to trust that they could handle this together.

"I know you're scared," Lucifer continued, his voice softening. "I am too. But we can't let fear control us. We'll take this one step at a time. Right now, our priority is keeping Charlie safe and maintaining our own composure."

Alastor nodded slowly, the tightness in his chest easing just a little. "You're right. I won't worry myself too much." He attempted a small smile, though his eyes betrayed his lingering anxiety. "We'll get through this."

Lucifer pulled him into a gentle embrace, feeling Alastor's tension against him. "We will," he murmured. "Together."

Alastor clung to Lucifer for a moment, drawing strength from his presence. "Together," he echoed, though the fear still gnawed at the edges of his mind. He wouldn't let it consume him. Not now. Not when they needed to be strong.

In a dimly lit hideout on the outskirts of town, Vox and Alastor's father arrived at the latter's decrepit house. The air was thick with dust, and the faint smell of mold lingered in the corners. Vox, still in his prison jumpsuit, looked around with a mixture of impatience and disgust.

"Finally," Vox muttered, stripping off the jumpsuit and tossing it aside. He changed into a pair of jeans and a black T-shirt, his movements jerky with barely contained rage. "I can't believe I spent all that time in that hellhole because of him."

Alastor's father, a sinister grin on his face, watched Vox's agitation with amusement. "Calm down, Vox. We'll get our revenge, but it has to be planned out. We can't rush into this."

Vox glared at him, his fists clenching and unclenching. "I've been waiting for so long, and now you want me to wait longer? I say we go now and make them pay."

Alastor's father shook his head, a finger tapping against his chin thoughtfully. "If we go now, we'll make mistakes. We need to be smart about this. Tomorrow, when the college day ends, we'll catch them off guard. They'll be more vulnerable then."

Vox took a deep breath, trying to steady his anger. "Fine. Tomorrow. But what's the plan?"

"Simple," Alastor's father said, a glint of malice in his eyes. "We know Alastor stays after hours in Lucifer's room for 'extra help.' We'll use that to our advantage. You'll go in first and handle Lucifer. He's short and not much of a fighter. Then I'll come in for the intimidation factor. Alastor will be too scared to help if I'm there."
