I was begged for some angst again, so here. I'm not really sure if this is considered angst, but its definitely gonna build up to it.

A few days later, Alastor was feeling better and back at his dorm with Angel, Husk, and Niffty. The morning sun filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the cluttered room where the four friends lived.

Angel, flipping a pancake expertly in the kitchen area, glanced over at the others. "Hey, guys, did you hear about the new kid who moved in a few days ago? Today's supposed to be their first day."

Husk, lounging on the couch with a mug of coffee, raised an eyebrow. "How do you always know these things, Angel?"

Angel grinned, setting the pancake on a plate. "I have my sources. It's all about staying informed, my dear Husk."

Niffty, sorting through a stack of books on the table, chimed in with a laugh. "Well, I hope this new kid likes pancakes. I might bake something later to welcome them."

Angel shot a playful glance at Niffty. "Who knows, Niffty? Maybe this new kid will be your soulmate."

Niffty rolled her eyes good-naturedly. "Please, Angel. I'm not looking for any relationships right now. I've got my hands full with you lot."

Alastor chuckled from where he was setting the table. "I think that's a diplomatic way of saying we keep her busy enough."

As the bell rang, signaling the start of Mrs. Velvette's history class, Alastor and his friends entered the room. Mrs. Velvette, as expected, was present but completely engrossed in her phone, a familiar sight to her students. Alastor took his usual seat, and beside him, a new face appeared — a young man who exuded confidence and a somewhat overpowering presence.

The new student didn't wait for an introduction, simply asking with a friendly grin, "Mind if I sit here?"

Alastor nodded, somewhat surprised by the direct approach. His friends, Angel, Husk, and Niffty, attempted to engage the new student in conversation, but he seemed singularly focused on Alastor. He frequently touched Alastor's shoulder and asked personal questions, which made Alastor increasingly uncomfortable. He decided not to make a fuss and went along with the conversation, albeit cautiously.

"So, Alastor, are you single?" the new student asked casually, leaning in a bit too close.

Alastor gave a polite but guarded smile. "That's quite personal."

The new student, undeterred, chuckled. "Fair enough! Name's Chaz, by the way. Just trying to break the ice."

Alastor nodded, feeling a bit relieved to at least know the name of the person bombarding him with questions. "Alastor."

Chaz grinned wider. "Nice to meet you, Alastor! So, what classes do you have today?"

Alastor listed off his schedule, noting with mild surprise that Chaz had the same classes. Despite his reservations, Alastor found himself mildly intrigued by the new student's confidence and energy.

Before their conversation could delve further into Alastor's personal life, Mrs. Velvette, with her usual nonchalance, finally acknowledged the class and began the lesson. Alastor gratefully focused on the material, trying to ignore Chaz's occasional comments that seemed aimed solely at him.

As the class ended, Alastor gathered his things quickly, eager to escape the spotlight Chaz had inadvertently put him in. Outside the classroom, Angel couldn't help but comment, "Looks like you've made a new friend, Alastor."
