______________

Fourteen years had passed, and the world around them had changed in many ways. Charlie, now 20, had grown into a confident young woman. She and Vaggie had been dating for five years, and they recently moved into their own apartment, enjoying their independence and the life they were building together.

One sunny afternoon, Charlie and Vaggie decided to visit Charlie's parents, Alastor and Lucifer. The couple had settled into a comfortable routine, and their home was filled with love and warmth. As they arrived at the house, Charlie realized she had left something important in the car.

"I'll be right back," Charlie said, smiling at Vaggie. "I forgot something in the car."

"Okay, take your time," Vaggie replied, giving her a quick kiss before watching her head back outside.

Once Charlie was out of sight, Vaggie took a deep breath, trying to steady her nerves. She turned to face Lucifer and Alastor, who were seated on the couch.

"Mr. Alastor, Mr. Lucifer," Vaggie began, her voice slightly trembling. "There's something important I want to ask you both."

Lucifer and Alastor exchanged a curious glance before looking back at Vaggie. "What is it, Vaggie?" Alastor asked gently.

Vaggie took another deep breath. "I've been with Charlie for five years now, and I love her more than anything. I want to spend the rest of my life with her. So, I'm here to ask for your blessing to propose to her."

Lucifer's eyes immediately welled up with tears. He tried to hold them back but failed miserably. "Oh, Vaggie," he said, his voice breaking. "Of course, you have our blessing. You make Charlie so happy, and that's all we've ever wanted for her."

Alastor smiled warmly, placing a comforting hand on Lucifer's shoulder. "Vaggie, you've been a wonderful partner to Charlie. We couldn't have asked for anyone better for our daughter. You have our blessing, wholeheartedly."

Vaggie felt a rush of relief and joy. "Thank you, both of you. This means so much to me."

Lucifer wiped away his tears, his smile growing wider. "Just promise us you'll take good care of her."

"I promise," Vaggie said, her eyes shining with sincerity.

At that moment, Charlie returned, carrying a small bag. "Sorry about that, I found what I was looking for," she said, oblivious to the emotional moment she had just missed.

Lucifer quickly composed himself, while Alastor smiled at Charlie. "No worries, dear. We were just chatting with Vaggie."

Charlie smiled, joining them in the living room. "So, what did I miss?"

"Nothing much," Alastor said. "Just some small talk."

Charlie laughed, completely unaware of the conversation that had just taken place. The family continued their visit, enjoying each other's company, and making more memories together.

--

A few months had passed since Vaggie proposed to Charlie, and the big day had finally arrived. The house buzzed with excitement as preparations were underway. Charlie stood in her old room at her parents house, a mixture of nerves and happiness coursing through her.

Lucifer and Alastor were by her side, helping her get ready. Alastor was carefully arranging Charlie's hair, his fingers deftly weaving her curls into an elegant updo. Lucifer held up her wedding dress, making sure everything was perfect.
