The next few days went by rather fast for Lucifer and Alastor. Right now, they were in the living room, including Charlie, who was happily playing with her toys. Lucifer was scrolling through his phone, checking emails, while Alastor sat next to him, watching Charlie with a gentle smile.

For a while, they enjoyed the quiet moments, the sound of Charlie's playful giggles filling the room. Suddenly, Lucifer's scrolling stopped. His finger hovered over an email, his eyes widening slightly.

Noticing Lucifer's pause, Alastor glanced over with concern. "What's wrong?" he asked softly.

Lucifer took a deep breath. "It's an email from Eve, the woman who interviewed me," he explained. "This is the email that will say if I got the job or not."

Alastor gave him an encouraging smile. "You have no reason to worry. You probably got the job."

Lucifer returned the smile, feeling a bit more reassured. With a deep breath, he opened the email.

Dear Lucifer,

I hope this email finds you well. After our interview, I wanted to let you know how impressed I was with your experience and enthusiasm. Your skills and attitude are exactly what we're looking for at our floral shop.

I am delighted to inform you that we would like to offer you the position! We believe you will be a fantastic addition to our team.

Please come to the shop tomorrow at your earliest convenience. I will show you around and explain your duties in more detail. We are excited to have you on board and look forward to working with you.

Congratulations and welcome to the team!

Best regards,
Eve

Lucifer's eyes scanned the email, and as the words sank in, a wave of relief and joy washed over him. "I got the job!" he exclaimed, unable to contain his excitement.

Alastor grinned. "I knew you would. Congratulations, Lucifer!"

Charlie looked up from her toys, her eyes bright with curiosity. "Where are you working now, Daddy?" she asked.

"A flower shop," Lucifer replied, his voice filled with happiness.

Charlie beamed. "I want to see!"

Lucifer chuckled. "I'm sure Mrs. Eve will let me bring you at some point."

The reality of his success began to settle in, and Lucifer felt his eyes welling up with tears-this time, tears of joy. He had feared he wouldn't be able to find a job after his firing, and now, against all odds, he had a fresh start.

Alastor reached over, giving Lucifer's hand a gentle squeeze. "See? Everything is falling into place."

Lucifer nodded, wiping away his tears. "Thank you, Alastor. I couldn't have done this without your support."

The next day rolled around quickly. Alastor was up early, preparing for college, while Lucifer got ready for his first day at the floral shop. They had agreed on a temporary arrangement: Alastor would drop off Charlie in the morning, and Lucifer would pick her up on his way home until they figured out his official work schedule.

After a quick breakfast, Alastor kissed Lucifer goodbye and headed out with Charlie. He dropped her off at daycare, ensuring she was settled before making his way to the college.

Upon arriving at the campus, Alastor met up with Angel, Husk, and Niffty. The three of them were lounging near the entrance, waiting for him.

"Hey, Al!" Angel called out, waving him over. "Any update on Lucifer finding a job?"
