He tried his best to contain his stress.
He didn't know what the principal of the school had to do with him, He only consoled himself by saying 'don't worry' and thinking that it is normal for the principal of a school (that is a boarding school) to want to see a new student and get to know him.
But this amount of stress was amazing.

Yuichiro was not the type of boy who gets stressed easily, but now why did this happen to him??!

He sighed and shifted again. He has been standing in front of the manager's office for about ten minutes, immersed in his thoughts. But with the thought that it is already too late, he made his final decision.

He ran a hand through his hair to perhaps tidy up his black and sloppy hair and cursed himself for not combing it.

He swallowed and stretched his hand towards the door.
Ignoring the twist in his heart, he knocked on the door.
A few moments of waiting and then...

There was a thick voice that guided him inside: "Come inside".

He directed the beautiful and dancing flame of the fire that had lit up the dark space from the lighter in his small hands to the simple and cream-colored candle in front of him, and with a little effort, he caught the wick of the candle and lit it, and successfully stared at the candle light.  and gave a short smile.

He left the candle and lighter a little further away and leaned against the wall behind him without making a sound, wrapped his hands around his thin knees and pricked his ears.

The slow and continuous sound of footsteps moving above him in the school corridor was none other than one of the XGMs.( The word "cloaked" is called "gownsman" in English. "x" means an unknown person and "g" and "m" are used to shorten the letter.)( Unfortunately, I take help from the dictionary for translation, so it is possible for me to make a mistake for a series of words that can have many synonyms.  Some time ago, when I was writing the story in Persian, I used this word to abbreviate it, so I did not change it here, and other words and synonyms were used in other parts of the story.  I apologize and hope you will forgive me for my inability to speak English.)

He let go of his knees and brought his hands to his ears, holding them tightly through his blonde hair, and he squeezed his eyes shut, pulling himself further into himself.

He was holding his breath and listening.

In his brain, he was repeating a sentence over and over again: "No one should understand that I am here, no one should understand". His brother's voice echoed in his ears: "Nobody should know you are here, there is no need to worry. They can't understand that you are right under the place they are passing by every day.  But this is as long as you don't make any sound, so just try to be quiet." Remembering his brother made him feel better. He loosened his hands and listened again, but the sound of footsteps had stopped...

He heard a knock. He raised his head and anxiously looked above his head with his red eyes. The wooden floor above his head shook again.

After agonizing moments of waiting, the wooden sole was removed.

The boy looked despairingly at the now empty space.

He could clearly see the ceiling of the school corridor, as well as the cloaked figure whose face was hidden in the shadows cast by his hat.

He muttered under his breath with a grudge in his throat "They found me...!!!!"
