If I just lay here, would you lie with me and just forget the world?

It was times like this that SUNNY was always grateful for.

Sure, he loved being around his friends, but sometimes, when he could, he loved having moments with just him and his best friend.

It was always quiet and peaceful.

SUNNY had only been here for a month, and yet it felt like just a few days.

He knew sooner or later, he'd have to go back home.

But he promised himself, that this time, he'd keep in contact with all his friends.

They needed him. And he needed them too.

They were just laying on the floor of BASIL's room. It was their new hobby. A thing they did.

It wasn't much, but it was at least something they could do.

When they were younger, they always had hobbies that were just for the two of them.

But, after...The incident, they lost that.

So, SUNNY wanted to come up with new hobbies. Silly things that wouldn't mean much to most people but meant the world to them.

It was their thing.

Just for them.

He could hear BASIL's soft breathing, and judging by the sound of it, BASIL had managed to doze off.

But he couldn't be too bothered to check. He didn't want to move too much and wake BASIL if he was actually sleeping.

He could hear POLLY walking around the house, probably cleaning.

It's moments like these that he never wants to lose.

The simple moments.

SUNNY was a rather boring guy, as most would use that word to explain him.

He never saw that as a negative thing.

And from what he knew, neither did BASIL.

He felt BASIL shifting, and just assumed he was moving in his sleep.

"SUNNY?..." BASIL's voice was barely above a whisper.

SUNNY froze. He had thought BASIL was sleeping. He has stayed so still just in case. He didn't even dare to move his head.

But, the blond was awake.

SUNNY didn't mind. It was a good moment either way.

Eventually, SUNNY looked over at BASIL. They made eye contact.

We're getting good with eye contact.

SUNNY had always preferred looking people straight in the eyes. Either to show respect, or to some certain people, to show he didn't care and wasn't scared.

BASIL, on the other hand, hated it. He didn't always, but it always made the poor boy uncomfortable, even when they were kids.

The only difference was, back then, BASIL would hold eye contact even if he hated it.

Nowadays, he avoided it like the plague.

He's getting good with eye contact.

And undoubtedly, SUNNY was proud.

His eye shifted. He knew it was wrong, but his eye looked downwards anyway. He stared at BASIL's lips, which were parted slightly as if he was going to speak.

But nobody said a word.

For anyone else, the silence would come off as weird.

For them, this was what was normal. A thing they enjoyed.
