BASIL felt this group hug was very awkward... But he didn't mind.
He just listened to SUNNY's steady heart beat.. It was pretty calming...
When the three parted from the hug BASIL felt so anxious and he didn't know why.
"So??? How do you feel???" KEL asked, smiling as always.
"I'm.. Okay.." BASIL gazed at the floor, getting lost in thought.
"Well... I promised I'd help my mom with SALLY! Gotta go!"
BASIL unlocked and opened the door for KEL "Bye BASIL! Bye SUNNY! See ya later!" KEL said before leaving.
BASIL shut the door, feeling a wave of relief before remembering SUNNY was still here..
"Oh.. I forgot about you still being here.. Um.." BASIL sighed. He knew he could always be himself around SUNNY.. But if so.. Why did he always act like another person around him?..
BASIL didn't have time for this... He only got 2 hours of sleep last night and could not deal with this...
SUNNY stared at BASIL, with a blank face as always.
"SUNNY... Um.. Why?... Why be here with me... And not KEL? He's everything I'm not... For example: he's a better friend.."
BASIL hated this... He hated himself.. All he ever wanted was to make SUNNY happy.. And yet he couldn't even keep himself happy....
BASIL walked over to the couch and sat, he was tired.. He just had to wait until SUNNY wanted to leave..
SUNNY walked over and sat beside him.
"So um.. SUNNY.. I... Umm.. I missed you..." BASIL felt as if he was being a big baby...
"I didn't think you would come back.. And.. I always told myself that even if you did come back... You'd avoid me.."
BASIL didn't understand.. If what KEL said was true...Why did SUNNY immediately want to come here?..
"Uhm.. SUNNY.. I.. I just want to let you know... Um.. I.. Hm.. Um.. I look up to you.. I've always wanted to be like you when I was younger.. And sometimes.. I still do.."
"You always knew how to listen... And.. Never really let things bother you.. But me.. I was affected by every little thing..."
BASIL didn't know what he was doing, he was trying to survive off of 2 hours of sleep. He felt as he was going to pass out, right here, right now.
"I've.. I've always loved you for that... I.. Don't understand why I can't be like you.. Ugh.."
BASIL felt his face heating up after he realized he just told SUNNY he loved him... Maybe SUNNY didn't take it that way! Maybe SUNNY took it as a 'best friend' kind of way..
He could worry about that later.. BASIL felt himself dozing off..
He rested his head on SUNNY's shoulder. "Umm... I.. I'm.. Tired.." BASIL said before yawning.
After a few tired blinks BASIL fell asleep.
A/N: This chapter is shorter than the last one but I just wanted to get it out.
Since I'm bored I might do a double upload, so maybe do expect another chapter.
