ALMOST ENOUGH #5
Sharyn's POV
We barely fit on each other's schedule but Hunter surprisingly created one where we could both benefit-or at least he would be best since I am cool whether I see him or not.
Although there is no doubt he is my crush, it is JUST a crush. I haven't gotten to the point where my heart would stop beating if I didn't speak to him for a day or two.
Also I didn't have much expectations yet. Firstly, ayokong umasa dahil baka maging katulad na naman nang nangyari sa amin ni Owen. Secondly, we both have our own priorities that adding each other might be troublesome. Thirdly, hindi pa ako ready? See, I wasn't even sure.
One thing though, I really enjoyed his company that is why I always agree to meet him whenever we both can. Tulad ngayon, natapos na ang meeting ko kasama ang organization namin kaya may free time ako tapos siya ay galing naman sa meeting kasama ang mga frat buddy niya.
He picked me up and we decided to stay in a cozy resto bar owned by his frat buddy, Sync.
Ngunit hindi na yata niya kaya ang ganung set-up - kung kailan lang kami free - kaya gumawa na siya ng proposed schedule niya.
"What do you say?" He titled his head a little while waiting for my answer.
"Hmm. . ." Muli kong tiningnan ang schedule. It was neatly written in a notebook. Kung hindi ko tinanong kanina ay hindi ako maniniwala na ganito kaganda ang penmanship niya-close to the font style Montserrat.
His effort is also commendable considering he wrote it instead of just printing.
"You can disagree...and argue?" He bit the edge of the paper cup while not leaving his gaze at me. Ang sexy! Surely, he doesn't have any intention of seducing me but any woman would be seduced by his stare.
Hindi ko maialis ang tingin ko sa kanya. Minsan nakakawala talaga ng composure si Hunter. Titig pa lang ay kikiligin ka na. Tinanong ko pa nga si River kung bakit gano'n ang mga mata ni Hunter. River said it was Hunter in his normal gaze, so what more if it's already in his seductive gaze? No wonder girls call Hunter playboy even if he isn't.
"Latisha?" He called me.
"Uh, yes," I slided the back of my hand around the sides of my mouth, pretending that I was biting my nails. Wala namang tumulong laway.
"It's impressive," sabi ko.
"Means?" Kita ko na medyo kinabahan siya.
"I am cool with it," I responded.
"Oh," he was relieved. "Does it also mean that you are now officially allowing me to court you?"
"Yeah." I nodded with a smile. "But it's still not a guarantee that you will get a yes."
"I am well aware of that, Latisha." He grinned. "You also have to let me know if you are meeting other suitors of yours so I can adjust the schedule for you to meet them."
I amusingly stared at him. "You allow me to have other suitors?"
"Yes."
"Ah, so you are not possessive?"
"I have no right to be but I am if you give me that privilege." He playfully chuckled.
My smile never left my face. His words were really something I never expected to hear from a guy these days-knowing he is an Eleazar, a powerful family. He can be an asshole for all he cares and get away with it yet he chose to still be a gentleman.
"You can also meet other girls if you want and if you feel like you don't want to be with me, you can just tell me. No hard feelings as long as you are honest. We could just be friends."
