Chapter 21

It was the day when Magnus was coming to palace to teach his majesty how to paint as promised. Alec was extremely happy since he woke up he was extra active in his early morning war practice sessions with Cezar and Thane. He was smiling on very small things and was blabbing to himself for no reason this worried cezar no Matt are how blissful it is to see his king so happy but he sensed there is something off with that hooded boy. as he guessed that the guest arriving at the palace he tried to talk to Alec about the man but he stopped when he saw how Alec's eyes twinkled that day when he was looking at that hooded man in brocelinds.

Cezar dropped the idea of digging into hooded man's identity but today he wanted to at least express his concern to his majesty. "You look so happy today your majesty...you took two more rounds around the place..what gives?" Cezar was lining up his weapons in armoury when Alec was cleaning up his own war sword he was sweaty his half naked body was shaking due to high breathing as he just finished his running rounds.

Alec smiled "I have someone coming to visit me today cezar..and...(he turned around to face cezar) he is the very special one..." he turned back and continued cleaning his sword.

Cezar took 2 minutes and asked "is that special someone is the same man in brocelinds? Your majesty?" He masked his interrogatory expressions with a gentle smile.

"Yes...he is the same..." Alec put his sword in its sheath and washed his hands. "Your majesty..., if you don't mind can I know more about him?" Cezar hesitantly asked not making eye contact with Alec.

Alec sighed he knew it was coming and eventually he will have to spill it but when he himself is not completly educated about Magnus then how can he tell his family anything about his partner? Half knowledge is a poison and he must first validate every story and details himself first before coming to any conclusion about Magnus. He is just trusting his own raw natural instinct which usually are 100% accurate till now and he has this unrecognisable connection with Magnus he can't deny or ignore.

"All you need to know is he means no harm to me he is no threat to the crown he is..is an innocent man who is far from any political and social involvements...." Alec crossed his both arms over his strong naked chest and glared at cezar.

"But your majesty...!...." Cezar protested but Alec interrupted him "cezar! I appreciate your concern but trust me he is no harm to me or to Idris or to the palace......(he turn to leave the armoury but stopped) and please stop discussing my personal things with anyone.....you are my personal guard for a reason..not even with my own mother cezar I won't take it again" Cezar was sure that the former queen might have mentioned something to the king as she is desperately seeking a perfect man for her son she always keep an eye on Alec's social engagements and when cezar mentioned that the king was with a hooded man her curiosity risen up she couldn't control and asked Alec directly the day before.

Cezar sighed defeated "I apologise your majesty...but it's my job to protect you from any harm and...(his eyes soften) Alec....i practically raised you like my own son...I will always be worried for you...." Alec smiled gently nodded at cezar gesturing him that he appreciate his sentiments and left.

Alec couldn't decide what to wear it was a special day for him indeed he tried all of his dresses even his royal ceremonial dress too but then image of very simple yet elegant Magnus came before his eyes. how a simple fruit tint on magnus's lips made him look heavenly and tasted more delicious than any other fruit on this earth then he realise no matter what he wear he would never match Magnus's beauty and his aura.

He chose to wear his usual pearl white tunic and white trouser what he usually wear in the palace when he has day offs.

He made clear with everyone in the palace that no one to bother his guest even his own family he even arranged a small meeting after his practise sessions in the dawn explaining everyone how his everyday is going to be from today some had questions some were confused but Alec noticed Raphael he looked as if he knew already how to follow all the protocols when Magnus will be in the palace. Did Magnus told Raphael about their meetings and the art sessions? Or he knows everything about them? He never talked to Raphael about them or even about Magnus respecting Magnus's privacy and his own.
