Everything happening felt like a nightmare to Magnus, he tried hard to avoid this conversation with Alec, and he begged Raphael not to disclose any of the information related to his past but now, he will lose everything he has with the king either Alec will have pity on him or be disgusted by him. His king being disgusted by seeping him already broke Magnus's heart he glanced once at Alec's furious face and his misted eyes Magnus couldn't figure out the exact feeling in Alec's eyes.

"Whatever you want to tell me it can wait" Alec raised his voice at Ruelle when she leaned her head down in respect of her king even if she had a close friendship with Alec he was still her king she had to bow her head down before her king even if she doesn't want to. Magnus was startled by hearing such a strong, commanding voice butterflies inside his tummy fluttered a little. Before Magnus could grip another trail of thoughts inside his head he was being pulled by strong arms. ignoring everyone standing there his father, Ruelle, and Raphael, a few guards Alec bracketed Magnus in his arms by locking them around Magnus's waist. Magnus was supposed, yet scared he let the king touch him infant of Ruelle, he dared to look at her now so he simply chose to lean to the king's warm, comforting touch.

"Look at me darling" king's soft whisper made Magnus raise his head up, Alec hated that there was a cloth barrier between Magnus's and his eyes he frustratingly removed Magnus's hood from his head to see those gorgeous, beautiful face Alec just wanted to kiss him right then. Alec's heart contracted after watching those amber eyes battery he sighed and kissed Magnus on his forehead ignoring everyone's reactions.

"Alexander!!...." Robert pulled him away from Magnus a little but Alec never loosened his hold from Magnus's waist. "Stop!..this woman is telling you again and again....stop this childlike behavior and behave!..." Robert doesn't like how carefree Alec behaves which can lead him to make some serious allegations, as any business with fairies is a serious deal in Idris and in the entire world. And there his son was literally having physical contact and shaking loving endeavours. "Alec!....." there, Alec felt his dear friend calling him so he freed Magnus from his hold and faced Ruelle.

"No!!!!.....you don't get to talk to him, Ruelle, you shouldn't....you would never dare to treat him like he is a prisoner like he is a slave or something.....its a command, my command.........do you get it?" Alec's eyes watered while Magnus's heart warmed he was looking at Alec the whole time, the moment that fleeting moment he heard someone saying more like a whisper 'There he is, your mate son' he vigorously moved his head around to chase the voice but nothing was there, a teardrop settled over his feather-like eyelashes threatened to fall. 'My mate' he whispered to himself looking at Alec wide-eyed 'My mate?... Is this even possible?'.

Magnus couldn't believe his ears and what was agreed and accepted by his heart at that moment, after Emrin and Winifred there were no mates but it was not impossible Magnus recalled the tales of two made fairies and started to believe Alec was his mate but how can it be possible? alec is utter human and Magnus is an utter fairy how can they be mates? Should he talk to Ruelle about it? No, it would be a bad idea considering the current situation or, should he write a letter to Tessa? Or to Brother Enoch? Yes, silent brothers can have answers to his questions. But then he realizes there is no way he can have a mate even if he exists Alec can never be his and he can never be Alec's because his fate is inevitable and he is not powerful enough to stop it from happening. Loud voices brought Magnus back from his thought race.

"I...I never meant to treat him or make him feel like a prisoner or slave in the first place your Majesty, I.....(her anger was replaced by worry and concern) I am worried, I am scared, scare for Magnus....I raised him like my own son, he may be my nephew but I loved him like my son...." She stopped talking when she heard bitter laughter from the king. She didn't understand why laughed like that. "You raised him? (He pointed his one hand at Magnus).......be true to yourself Ruelle....practically Tessa, Jem, and Will raised him...he was in Alicante all these years he lived there like he had a disease or something no one could see him, or touch him. His food vessels were separated? his laundry was done by himself....what was that?....and you are saying you love. Him?......this is not love Ruelle.....you don't get to keep him like that anymore...I will have him here, in this palace..." Robert interrupted " Alexander!!!! know what you are talking about...he is a damn fairy you can't even court him..let alone have him here? As a residence?...." Alec was so furious at this moment..." No father!.. I will have him.....I won't let him suffer anymore".

After a moment of silence, Ruelle smiled sadly because now she knew why Alec was mad at her and wanted Magnus's happiness over everything over royal bylaws. She knew that moment her king, his majesty was in love with her son like nephew she couldn't be more happier she wanted to shower this whole place with the stars but, (her face only saddened) no they can't be together ever and why is that? She needs to tell Alec, Alec needs to get over Magnus and move on she has taken a blood oath to Leila (Magnus's mother) she swore to protect Magnus till the end of her time and she will do it by hook or by crook but doesn't want Alec to burn whole, precious heart in Magnus's dark fate's hot flames.

"You can't have him, your majesty," Ruelle said in a trembling voice.

"Ruelle!....please..don't...." Magnus begged her, he didn't want Alec to know the truth about him but a part of him know this is must Alec must know everything he is done pretending that his life is as smooth as others.

She gave him a sad, determined glance, "It's the time dear, I am with you till the end of the time..." she assured him, making Alec more confused than ever.

"Why?.....why can't I have him? Huh?........and you don't get to decide that anymore, he is an adult he can decide for himself" the king roared and pulled Magnus towards him holding his waist like Ruelle will take him away from him. But poor man didn't know he can't claim the boy he can manipulate the fate and rewrite it once again.

"Because he is promised to someone else your Majesty...he is bound to someone else.." once those words left Ruelle's mouth she knew there was no turning back and she had to unravel every behind story she intended to take to her grave.

"What do you mean he is promised?.....(he turned to look into Magnus's teary eyes with a questioning, hurt look on his face) whom you are bound to?" Alec asked with a heavy heart.

"Killian,...killian jones....ruler or Calamaria.... He is promised to Killian"
