King's eyes were wondering all over fairy court entrance he couldn't move his foot from the threshold, "did you..did you smell it? " he asked Mal while tugging his hand back, "what your majesty?". He innocently went close to Alec and watching him moving his head here and there "the scent sandalwood and kind of passionfruit? Did you smell it Mal?" Alec's heart couldn't settle anymore he is still looking for the thing or a person wearing that scent.

"No your majesty, I can only smell scent of jasmine nothing else" Mal said while sniffing hard the air. Slowly the scent wasn't there anymore, like Mal said it was only jasmine. The king sighed disappointedly and went in the court.

Fairy court was elegant, deadly and glamorous, looks more beautiful in night under the moon light it was exactly like narrated in ancient folklores, there wasn't single flower on earth wasn't boom there, butterflies, fireflies lived there, there were tiny honeycomb's singing a honeytus melody.

Some men were playing Lute, reading the notes on paper trying to put it in a sync, laughing, giggling enjoying their evening, there was a woman sitting on the stairs on his right wearing maroon gossamer dress pulling string of lyre, in a beautiful melody. "It's a beautiful melody Lale" the king appreciated her who smiled and him and bowed.

He once again turned around and try to get that scent again but failed, there was only Jasmin again, King's guards came and stood beside him. "Is this chatter box annoying you again, your majesty?" One of the Royal guard around 40 (cezar) who is also king's personal guard looked at the boy and smiled teasingly at him who pouted and shook his head instantly "yes, this chatter box need a treat to make him stop annoying me" Alec patted boy's head and smiled fondly, "I never annoy him cezar, I don't, do I? Your majesty?" Then he looked at Alec laughed and asked cezar to hand him a mulberry jam which he likes the most made by Royal Chief, Mal's face lit up and he quickly grab the jam bottle and ran inside the court.

"I will go meet her, cezar, simon is already in the garden dealing with those informants, and cezar? Don't wait for me alright? You can leave after...your meets"....(cezar made very concerned face because everyone in the palace knew, Alec only spend few hours in the fairy court just to gain some sleep physically pleasure nothing else, but this time it felt different to cezar, he know Alec since he was 8 he protected him from any uninformed harm he is always with Alec where ever he goes outside the palace). "Is something wrong your majesty?" He narrowed his eyes recognising king's restlessness and hesitation when Alec smiled slightly and nodded cezar didn't push and left to the garden when Simon was discussing secret business.

"I beg you, (the king cupped his hands close to his heart standing there with a guilty look on his face) mother planned dinner for me with some other idiot so I couldn't visit you"

"You are lying, you never attended the dinner, you just went in your chamber to have a good night sleep, what wear you out yesterday? There wasn't any legal meeting were arranged this long nor you had a practice sessions with cezar" she was so mad, so so mad at The King, only because he missed his usual visit day.

'Simon' he cursed under his breath because he knows no one dares to share his personal information with someone outside the palace than Simon, the person standing next to him was more like his family though he wouldn't mind Simon did shared the information with her.

"I.....I just......I was busy with some things, perhaps, with some thoughts" the King stuttered and turn around to hide his nervous face, being too honest and clean hearted, the King always fails to mask his present emotions, but his mother says, this his strength than a weakness.

"What troubled you? Is everything alright in the palace? Your majesty?" Her expressions changed, she walked towards him and put her hands on his arms, the king turned and stood facing her.
