Norman had noticed the past few days Manon had seemed a little disturbed. He couldn't contemplate what it was, nor was he having any luck finding out. Every time he asked, Manon would change the subject. It was frustrating because he could tell it was bothering her. Though an answer came to him with one phone call. "Mr.Stryker you have a call for you on line two." It was peculiar to him as he wasn't expecting any calls from anyone, and it was highly unlikely the secretary to not say who it was from. She did seem quite confused about it. He picked up the phone and pressed the two button. "Hello this is Stryker speaking." "Hello Mr.Stryker, my name is Douglas Max. I am a lawyer from the Carlson law firm." Norman raised a brow. He would have surely been notified if a client didn't get their money, but he had never heard that name before. It was highly unlikely they were getting sued as well. Their company was up to employment standards, with break time, nor were there any major accidents in the building. The next sentence explained everything. "An employee of yours pushed my client into oncoming traffic during an altercation. My client was left seriously injured, and would like to sue." Norman felt his eye twitch as his hands became fuzzy. This man called his office over a lawsuit. At first Norman wanted to laugh it off, but the seriousness of the accusation was no laughing matter, but why not call the person being sued. "And you decided to call the company because?" "We do not have the full name, address, nor phone number for the defendant. In order for things to continue further we have to be able to contact the defendant." Norman let out a sigh. He might as well play along if this is a prank call, or at least get to the bottom of this. "What's the client's name, and the defendants?" "My client is Rebeca White, and she is wishing to contact a woman by the name of Marianne, and she was accompanied by an aviation hybrid" Norman felt his eyes go white. His computer began to static and the lights flickered. Sure there was an abundance of Marianne's in the world, but with the name of the client being Rebeca he knew this was a joke. Whatever the situation was, it was Rebeca's fault. "Excuse me Mr.Stryker are you still there?" Norman slammed the phone down before taking a deep breath before standing up and walking out of his office. Outside his door were several more and a woman at a desk over by the elevator doors. She looked over at him and raised a brow. She moved her glasses up the bridge of her nose. One eye still focused on whatever she was doing while the other two looked back at him. "What do you need Mr.Stryker?" She asked, seeming to notice how frustrated he was. "How many aviation hybrids do we have working here?" He asked calmly. "We have about five sir." "I need all five called up here right away. Send them into my office one at a time." "Yes sir." She replied, she was clearly confused but kept her mouth shut. "Thank you Fran." He replied as he walked back to his office. Sitting back down at his desk he moved over to a shelf and grabbed a jar of black licorice. He would need something to snack on to calm down. In a few minutes a knock came on his door. The first three had no clue what was going on, but the fourth was different. Daniella craft. "How well do you know Madeline Vacher?" Norman asked. Daniella raised a brow. "Well we're friends. We live in the same apartment complex." Right away Norman knew he had the right person. "You're not in trouble Mrs.Craft, but I do need to know some things after a phone call I received earlier. A lawyer called claiming a woman was pushed into oncoming traffic by Marianne, and that an aviation hybrid was present." Immediately Daniella's wings flapped up. "What? That's bullshit she was standing in the road! Marianne and I were on the sidewalk and out of nowhere she decided to apologize to her for slapping her after being pissed about who Madeline was dating, which I have no idea what that was about or that she was even taken, but then she insulted me, and began to be pissed that she wasn't going to get Marianne to be offensive. Not to mention she was really disturbed after the crash, like she was completely silent all the way home!" A few feathers had scattered around the office by now as Daniella realized how aggressive she had been. As she was now standing up. "Sorry sir." Norman nodded. "No you're fine with that outburst, but please if they do go through a suit try to control that." Daniella nodded. "I figured Marianne hadn't done that, but I wanted to confirm. Please do not tell her about this. I've noticed she's been stressed lately, and I don't want that to add to it." "But..." "I will inform her. That is all I needed from you. Please go back to your desk, and tell that one who remains they can too." Daniella remained silent. "Yes sir." She said before getting up and leaving the room. Norman let out a sigh. He knew he would have no control whether Daniella told Manon or not, but he would find some way to hopefully make her week a bit better.
