Trigger Warning: Self Harm, Mentions of Attempted Murder

Manon didn't know what to say. Hell she didn't know what to do. She had imagined this scenario millions of times, and yet she didn't know what to do. "Manon!" Rody exclaimed, his voice sounded filled with much joy but also relief. "You're here!" Rody said as he looked around. "Yeah." Words finally came to her mouth. "I moved here a while back." The awkward tension surrounded the two. Yet Manon noticed something different about Rody. Actually the more she looked the more she noticed the differences. His hair was a little longer, but not by much. His clothes were new. Much nicer actually, but still in his style. "Look Manon, I'm sorry." Manon raised a brow. "I've had time to think about what you said, and I'm in a better place financially now. I've stayed at the same job for nearly a year now..." "Rody." Rody went quiet. Manon couldn't help but feel proud of him. A small smile appeared on her face.
"I'm glad you're doing better for yourself, but I've moved on." Rody let out a sigh of relief which shocked Manon. Then it hit her. "Did you get a new girlfriend?" She exclaimed as Rody quickly straightened his posture. A harsh blush on his face. "Uh no, I just lost feelings for you is all." Manon squinted her eyes in suspension. She didn't buy it for a second. But it was for Rody to know, and only Rody to know. "So you got a new boyfriend?" Manon felt a bit of blush on her face. "Yeah, his name is Norman. Though he looks a little different than most people." Manon said. Knowing Rody may notice if they ever met. "So how have things been?" Manon asked. "Pretty good. I'm actually here with my boss for the business convention." Rody said as Manon was a little stunned. "Wow!" Manon said. Rody really did improve a lot. "I'm proud of you." Manon said as Rody gave her a bright smile. "Hey I know we're seeing other people and stuff, but do you want to go to dinner together? You can bring your boyfriend if you want, because I was also thinking of inviting my boss. He's kind of like my best friend." Manon shrugged. "I don't mind, besides it will give us more of a chance to catch up." Manon said happily. "Great."
The two stood there chatting for a few minutes. Discussing plans for dinner. Until an all too familiar voice called for Rody's name. Suddenly Manon froze completely, her eyes turning wide with horror. As she saw a familiar raven-haired man making his way to Rody. "Oh hey Vince!" Rody said happily as Manon stared in disbelief. Especially with how happy Rody was to see him. "Vincent this is Manon, Manon this is my boss, Vincent." As soon as Vincent laid eyes on her he very clearly recognized her. "Nice to meet you." Manon said through a gritted smile all while planning a way out. She didn't know how long Rody had worked for Vincent, or how close they were. Rody was strong, and fit. Both could very easily kill her. Even if they were in a crowded area many people may not be willing to help her. So her best bet was to play it smooth. "Very nice to meet you as well." Vincent replied with a bright fake customer service smile. One that put her incredibly on edge. Rody seemed to be oblivious to her discomfort which was odd. As Rody had almost always put others before himself, and that included people's feelings. He had always noticed when someone was distressed.
"So I've heard a lot about you. You and Rody used to date, correct?" Manon nodded. "Yeah, I'm guessing Rody's been employed at your business the longest." Vincent nodded. "Surprisingly considering his resume." Vincent said more jokingly as Rody looked away embarrassed. Manon gave an awkward chuckle, and she just wished she could leave. She wanted to cancel the dinner date now that she knew Vincent was going on it as well. Thankfully a rescuer appeared right on time as she noticed him in the sky. She waved up and down causing Rody and Vincent to look confused. "What are you doing?" Rody asked. As Manon looked at him slightly awkwardly. "Trying to get my boyfriend's attention." Vincent and Rody looked around trying to see if they could tell who he was. Until Manon felt a small tap on her shoulder. She let out a gasp before turning to see Norman and smiled in relief. When the two men turned back they saw him and both immediately had their eyes pop out of their skull.
