After media day, Blake went home with a smile on her face. Again, her and Lando were able to work things out. At the end of the day the two were again more comfortable with each other and Blake was happy knowing their friendship was bullet proof.
Once Blake settled into her hotel, she got a message from Arthur asking if she's busy since he wanted to call her. The two spent their time talking on face time, telling each other about their day and enjoying each other company through the phone.
"I miss you," Arthur spoke through the phone as he looked lovingly at her. Blake blushed a light shade of red as a smile crept up onto her face.
"I miss you too, a lot." Blake spoke softly. The two went on their conversation flowing well. Eventually time caught on with Blake and she fell asleep on call.
The next day free practice rolled in. It was just like the other free practices, Lando and Blake were able to relay to the team if there was anything wrong with the vehicle and were able to put in significantly good lap times.Blake ended in P3, while Lando ended up in P4.
During free practice two the car was flying, it had not much issues and was smooth sailing from free practice one. The car gave Blake and lando an easy time. With the speed, Blake and lando were able to land themselves in P1 and P2 consecutively.
Everything was smooth flowing this race weekend aside from the paparazzi Blake would get here and there concerning her and Arthur's relationship.
After Free Practice 1 and 2, Blake and Lando returned to the paddock, removing their helmets and gloves. The air buzzed with the familiar sounds of mechanics working and teams discussing strategies. As they walked back to the McLaren garage, Lando glanced over at Blake.
