Blake had spent her free days before the race in Monaco. Those days growing closer to Arthur. They spent almost every day together, either at his flat or hers, relishing each other's company.

"No, it was definitely you taking cookies from the jar and blaming it on me! They kept getting mad at me! I could've lost my spot in Prema because of you," Arthur laughed as they reminisced about their Prema days.

"Me? Taking the cookies? I did not!" Blake replied, feigning shock as she tried to hold back her laughter.

"See! You're doing it again. Playing the victim," Arthur said dramatically, making Blake laugh at his theatrics. It had happened over a year ago, yet he was still hung up on it.

"Okay, fine. Maybe I did take the cookies. But only because you kept cheating at Mario Kart!" Blake raised her hands in defense, laughing.

"Cheat? You just suck at Mario Kart, Blake," Arthur teased. He always played fair; Blake was just never good at it. He never tried to teach or help Blake get better since he liked proving he was the better player.

Their playful banter was interrupted by the sound of bells clinking at the café entrance indicating someone has entered. Blake instinctively turned to see Lando walking in.

Arthur noticed Blake's diverted attention and followed her gaze. He saw the familiar curly-haired McLaren driver at the entrance, his eyes narrowing at the sight

"Don't look," Blake whisper-yelled as she saw Arthur's eyes stare intently. His gaze returned to her.

"Do you want to leave?" he asked gently, understanding the tension between her and Lando. He didn't know much, only knowing they weren't exactly on speaking terms. He knew they were childhood friends so he knew the toll it took on Blake when the two had a disagreement. However, he did sense that Blake liked him since before.
